Not a fan. The dill have a weird taste. The pickles have thick tough skins . Maybe the calcium chloride or other chemicals impact the taste.Above was my review. The producer saw my review and reached out. I didn't demand a refund or ask for anything. I just explained that ypu can't please everyone and taste /experience is subjective. In this business climate where everything is going up in price, they generously provided a refund. Their way of doing business is a class act and 5 star! Give them a try. You might really like them.

Be prepared to experience sourness !
Didn’t get these because of TikTok , I got them because I’ve been a fan of war heads since I was little. The fact that I’m also a pickle lover I must say these are by far the best sour pickles you can find . The smell ,the color , the size and the freshness is just satisfying. If you’re not into sour things . I wouldn’t recommend but by any means, I recommend these cold .

Delicious and hot
Incredibly delicious! These have a good spice to them, not to hot but a good level. They are not very crunchy which is unfortunate but not a deal breaker. The package was sealed fine, no leaks or damage.

Well, now we're in a pickle
Ok, first, let's hit the salt issue. It's a pickle. Pickles are salty. These pickles are delicious, and as far as the pickle itself being "too" salty, I'm just going to have to go with "no." The brine is amazingly salty, and while I normally covet the brine as an extra treat, this brine teeters on the edge of being an inedible substance. And yes, I do detect a significant hint of the plastic container in the brine flavor, but not in the pickle. But since the pickle is the thing being sold here, I'm just having more than a little bit of trouble holding any of that against the product. I do wish it were less salty and free of the plastic undertones, because as I say, I love brine, but I also strongly suspect that this nuclear brine is part of why I can have a non-refrigerated pickle in a pouch that can live in the light and room temperatures and not find it a well of Bacterial Horror.Having said that, the way Van Holten's rates the pickle is 1/5th of a pickle is a serving, and one serving is 16% of your daily recommended salt intake, so if you eat one of these pickles, you just chowed down 80% of your sodium allowance (referenced to a 2000 calorie diet.) Which is, how shall I put it... a pretty aggressive salt intake. Looking at another product I buy locally from a national supermarket chain, it's 1/2 pickle is a serving, and for that, you get 9% of your salt intake, so 18% per pickle. These pickles, however, are much smaller than the Van Holten's, so we're still looking at a lot of salt for the same amount of pickle.I've worked through about 1/2 the entire package, which is about six pickles, and I have to say that these are very consistent in terms of flavor and size. The only thing about the pickle itself I'm not that fond of (and hence, 4 stars), is that there is a low-to-moderate level "hot" flavor component, as if some peppers were used in the brine, which is definitely not my cup of... ok, brine. Even so, I'll be buying more of these; there's nothing comparable on the market here. I highly recommend them if you're a pickle aficionado. On the other hand, if you're not, you are definitely going to notice that salt level, and likely you'll not repeat the experience. The good news there is that there are many milder products out there, just work your way methodically through your supermarket's selections and you'll likely find something that suits your palette.

Where is the crunch?
This was lowdown on this purchase. Pickle was like chewing on a slipper. Tough, rubbery, and aftertaste like horseradish. I was excited seeing these and thought the one star ratings was a joke but it's 100% right. These taste like somebody found these in a old carryout store that shutdown years back and just put them on market to make a profit.

Van Holten's pickles are the best pickle I've ever eaten
I travel a lot for work and one of the hotel chains I stay at rewards my elevated membership with free snacks as a perk of staying with them. I was looking for something that wasn't full of carbs and sugar and decided to give this pickle a try. I went back every single day I was staying there and got another one. They are simply incredible. I don't know how I've lived my life this long without ever having eaten one of these. Believe me. I'm not exaggerating. I had to beg TSA to let me bring one home for my family (they come in individual, pickle-juice filled pouches that might exceed the carry-on liquid allowance). My family was also blown-away by this pickle. Needless to say, I went all-in and ordered a variety of theirs. I will say the atomic-blast-level sour pickle is really "All that." I can only eat one of those once-in-a-while, because it's so intense. The kosher pickle seems to be smaller, but they're my favorite. If you love pickles like I do, go ahead and treat yourself. You won't be disappointed.
