Worked 100%! Installed and replaced a Honeywell R8184 in under 10min. Saved me a ton of money!
Replaced an old Honeywell R8184 45-sec with this ICM 15-sec as it was the only one with Prime at the time. My boiler would kick on and click-click-click as fast are you're reading it. Sometimes it would stay on as it should, others it would give up. Obviously something wasn't right and the ICM has better reviews and was less than half the cost. Installed it in around 7 minutes, cleaned off the C554A Flame Sensor and she's running PERFECT! This ICM guy saved me a TON of money vs. a service call or the Honeywell. If you're having a similar issue (constant clicks, not steady on-off) then this is your fix. I went back and forth on this or the Aquastat and landed on this. Glad I did!

Great alternative to the more expensive / common Honeywell “gray box” primary controllers. I am a heating tech and wanted to replace my oil primary due to old age/ likelihood of soon failure. This control works perfectly and is pretty much the same as the classic Honeywell.I did notice also that the red reset button, when pressed appears to go to a circuit board directly instead of the spring action style in honeywell that is notorious for wearing out over time- find one old enough and you can tap the box & it will trip the reset. So this ICM control may be a preferred design in my opinion. Great buy!!

5 years. No problem. Short lockout time EZ INSTALL!
Installed on my oil fired 1949 GE DOWNFIRE burner 5 years ago. I like to do my reviews 6 months to a few years later to give an accurate review for people to see. I paid Half the price of what they are asking for this item now as I do this review in 2025, and you guys are killing the good product, cheap price flow you had 5 years ago. If considering this product, and want a short lockout, this is the one to get. It has NEVER let me down , and surpassed the well known brand Honeywell unit I had that only lasted from 2018-2020. It’s was a great buy in 2020. But too expensive in 2025 in my opinion .

excellent replacement
Worked perfect for a replacement K8 relay on an H82 heater, did not have an audible wire, but it does have a visual light for a trip notification

A great replacement for my worn out Honeywell CAD interface to my furnace burner head.
Excellent product quality. My old module had worn out it's hybrid electrical / mechanical reset button. Furnace ended up needing a huge cleanup of ash and suck a chamber insulation kit and a bunch of fiberglass rope. The ICM1501 has performed it's part in this repair flawlessly. The CAD cell will trip a shutdown and the button resets and restarts the furnace head. Nicely marked connections. Has been acting sanely since.

inconsistent quality
First one lasted almost four years and began getting hot and tripping randomly and had to be replaced. Second one lasted 3 months and fried itself (melted like the one somebody pictured in the reviews). I'm hoping the third is better - it's the middle of winter, my furnace is ancient, and there aren't a lot of other options. I took the second one apart to see what happened and the circuit board was melted with a few components completely charred. By the way, it says made in America, but the components inside have Made in China labels. I really wish it was a more durable/reliable item.Update: third one lasted 6 months and fried itself like the last one.
