I bought a pair of these struts for my 2012 Mercedes S550, because my car wouldn't rise to the proper ride height on the passenger side (front or back). After numerous tests, I figured out that it was the front strut causing the problem. I have to admit that I was more than skeptical of these units mostly because of their price. OEM replacements would have run around $1000, so getting them both for $370 left me feeling a little doubtful. They arrived quickly, were well packaged, and seemed to be pretty sturdy. It took me about 40 minutes per side to install, but if you've never done them before, just allow for more installation time. Be really careful with the wiring connector. You don't want to break the attachment prongs that holds it together with the abs sensor connector. Also be aware that there is a metal retaining clip that holds those two plugs in the socket.YOU MUST REMOVE IT 1ST, OR YOU WILL BREAK THE SOCKET.Dirt can hide this clip so take a damp cloth or paper towel to clean the area so you can see clearly where it is. (Don't lose it because you will need it when you are ready to reinstall the new ones)Once you remove the retaining clip there is nothing to squeeze in order to release the plugs from the socket. You just have to pull back, but it may be stuck, so just slip something (like a flat head screwdriver) between the plugs & and the socket, and pry gently to get them separated. That was probably the hardest part of the entire installation process.Once installed, my car aired up nicely without any issues. I took it for a test drive, and the ride feels just as good as it felt when I bought the car. So far, I haven't had any issues with these units. Smooth & quiet ride no modifications needed. I highly recommend these to anyone that needs them. I can't speak on longevity, but I will wait about 6 months and update my review then. I hope this review helps you.

Use this to replace the air strut on my 2013 Mercedes Benz s550

The strut was an exact fit. Put it on and the car immediately rose to ride height.Took it for a test drive and there was no noise and the ride quality is back.Been driving it all week with no problems so far.👍😊

This worked perfect on my 2010 S550 Mercedes. It took me a total of 2 hours to install. Could have done it quicker but the air strut came full of air so it took me a few extra minutes to figure out what I had to do. I ended up taking my top an arm ball joint off and the top sway bar link off so that I could push the suspension down far enough to get the new strut in. Other than that it was a pretty straight forward swap and this save me lots of money.
