For the price can't be beat. Doubled my speed
I hate writing reviews but I thought it was pretty important for this item. We live in a good sized house 3 stories where the entire house is a smart home and all of our televisions require a good internet connection. I have my modem/router and 4 other routers. It's imperative I have a strong signal everywhere so I'm not dropping signal and my cameras that are connected by Ethernet have a reliable signal. This is all just to give u an idea of our situation which has probably 70 devices connected at all times. I pay for 100 mbps but with that many devices connected I usually get more like around 50 mbps. My modem that runs everything is around a 300 dollar modem. Finally I was looking for a router that had duel band and had a little better range so it could reach to my detached garage to run the devices out there. I somehow after reading a million reviews decided to give this router a shot even though it isn't one of the names u hear most frequently. I replaced the router in the master bedroom 2nd floor. My normal speed there was about 45mbps over wifi standing within a couple feet of the router. I set this new router up within a couple minutes very easy just avoid the app and setup like any other router much easier. As soon as I got it setup I was anxious to test the speed. Speedtest.net and first try I tested at 113mbps download and 11 upload. Wow more then double the old. So I tried a range test went to the far side of the house and a floor down to the living room and tested again over wifi. 90mbps download and 10 upload. I was amazed that over that kind of distance the speed barely dropped. So far and keep in mind I have only owned for a month now but so far this thing is amazing. Amazing enough I've decided to buy another and go from 4 routers to only 2. I can keep my others as emergency backups. Love this product as long as it lasts I'm very happy. Give it a shot u won't be disappointed.Update after about a month of use without dropping and no speed loss I've purchased 2 more of these which now run my entire house and outside area. You really can't beat these for the price it's comparable to a router that cost 2 and 3 times more.

So far - Excellent
This is the most powerful extender i have ever owned by far. Excellent coverage and reliability.i cannot say it was easy to set up. It took repeated attempts until i got just the right settings. But there were some helpful Youtube videos on my model, and some other helpful webpages and i eventually got it. i am not a TCP/IP wifi expert, so some of the menu choices were uncertain. The manual appears to be Chinese in origin, next extensive, but don't give up on it.It has not wintered yet, but seems well designed and durable. The POE works great and gives direct access with a second ethernet cable. Aesthetically it looks very scientific. i recommend it and if it fails i will edit this review.

Wavlink M12 impossible to configure in repeater/bridge mode - defective
I tried to 2 months to get this outdoor wifi repeater to reconfigure to my ssid network. I finally called a professional networking company and they sent a man out to set it up for me. He failed for the very same reason as me. The wizard will run on the Wavlink network after you climb the 15 ft high pole to hit the reset button, but at the end of the process you have to click on the wizard "refresh" button. What that does, as explained to me, is have DHCP select an ip address from the router rather than Wavlink. This function fails every time on this unit. Without an ip address, the unit can not communicate with my router. I have a SIMILAR Wavlink model that worked, after a while. Once reset to my ssid by selecting Repeater Bridge mode, it is great. Until then, useless. I THOUGHT I was getting the same model when I selected, BUY AGAIN, but it wasn't.So, $250 later - $100 for the unit and $150 for the pro techie to come out and fail just like me, the solution is "Buy another brand of Extender". So, that will cost me another $150.Additionally, Wavlink support is terrible. You have to send an email to CHINA and wait 12 hours for a reply. In my case, their recommendation was to set the unit to AP mode which would have required running a cable 600 ft to my router. Why buy a wifi extender that doesn't function in wifi mode?

Updated Review - Manufacturer responded in a positive manner.
After getting a response from the manufacturer, and several emails and a few weeks of troubleshooting, the manufacturer did resolve this issue. They sent me a new unit and did not request that I return the old unit. I configured the new unit, and it seems to be working correctly now. So, something failed in the first unit that I received where the 2.4G band stopped working, which is what is needed for my outdoor IP cameras. I hope that this new unit will last more than 1.5 months. So we will see what happens. I do appreciate the manufacturer working with me to resolve this. I updated my review to 4 stars.

Surprised by the range
I'm giving it a thumbs up. First question, what are the con's? Only one thing that needs improvement. Better instructions for set up. Fortunately there are lots of Youtube videos out there showing people setting this thing up. So I figured it out but not without scratching my head a few times wondering what I was doing wrong. Ok, so for the good part. Once it was set up......correctly..... It worked great. In fact it did better than I expected. I live on a 4 acre lot that is longer than it is wide. The lot has a house, swimming pool barn and a garden behind the barn. It is 360 feet to the barn from the back of my house. I set the extender by my pool which is half way between the barn and the house. I get full service out of this little antenna from the road in front of my house all the way to the garden behind my barn. That is a huge area. So absolutely no complaints about the range, signal or speed. I'm sure some folks may get a little different range due to environment, buildings, and various obstructions but I can say I'm thrilled with the product. I recommend it.
