Exceptional value for money
This appears to be a new-to-market satellite receiver which has not yet been reviewed. It is currently (May 2022) the cheapest offering from Amazon, and as such deserves some extra details to give a fair review. This receiver was bought to replace a failing Humax Foxsat HD unit served by a strong ASTRA 2 signal. It was connected together with two other units via SCART to my Samsung TV. All this equipment was more than 12 years old. The TEKNIKA is a neat well produced unit. Set-up was easy following the instructed procedure to detect Astra 2 FTA channels using a “blind” search. It detected slightly more FTA channels than its predecessor. The video quality through the SCART chain suffered from some annoying background video interference as a result of the other units in the chain; direct SCART connection to the TV with these removed restored the analogue video quality. Using the HDMI output to the TV resulted in really crisp noise-free video quality. In all circumstances, audio quality was excellent. As yet, I have only had a chance to check out the “instant” recording facility via HDMI using an under-dimensioned USB stick; the recording and playback was straightforward; the audio and video quality on playback was superb. This receiver is excellent value for money and is to be recommended.Someone asked "What are the dimensions of the unit?" They are 22x14x4cm.

Good enough value for me to order a second one
I liked this receiver enough to order a second one. I had a non HD "Technomate" one working in my set up and found I was receiving fewer and fewer FTA channels of interest to me. I plugged this one in not sure if I would also have to buy a HD tv and found I didn't. It worked fine through the scart cable and existing old televisions and picked up far more channels including CNBC alongside Bloomberg for market information and a number of French and Spanish ones that are of interest to me - all of these on the Astra satellite.I think it's a bargain for the price (£25.99).I recognise criticisms I have read elsewhere that the remote control is a bit flimsy and you need to point it pretty directly at the receiver but that is a small quibble at this price. I am getting my foreign telly in the UK at a low price and am throughly satisfied with my two receivers so far. I would actually give it four and a half stars if that were an option. I've only knocked one off for the remote and the fact that it came with flat batteries which had probably stood in a cold warehouse too long. So long as it keeps working as it is, I am completely satisfied thanks.I know this was a newish product with just one review when I came upon it so I think it deserves another one as it is a good value product imho.

Remote is not Remote. Needs to be by unit to work
Expected 20 different gradations but just two sets of 10. Very flimsy.
