Bulletin Board Pwnage
I purchased several Grip-A-Strips to replace an old, dilapidated bulletin board that had been poked more times than an acupuncture patient. It had to go. The Grip-A-Strips have not disappointed. They do their job perfectly... they hold papers and don't let them go unless you pull the paper in a certain direction. The Strips come with adhesive tape, which I chose to use to see how well it held up. Three months into ownership, the tape has held like a champ. The Strips are very solid against the wall. I was surprised to find that I could even hang thin ribbons (made of thick fabric) thick sheets of paper. They do the job and they do it well!

Love This But
So like everyone is saying, I love this. I have no idea why this would only go up with 2 sided tape. Well if it was only for sticky notes, then yes, ok... But that's not what I needed it for. Screws? Yes that is a must. Not sure why reviewers are mentioning screws unless it's for larger versions (I have 12 inches), not only did I not get any, there is no possible area to put them. I had to innovate because other reviewers are saying this is falling down when they put longer/larger/a number of items on it. So I innovated and pried the top part of the edge open and dropped some nails in since I notice a lip that would hold them in (I had to use those small nails you use to nail in the back of a dresser) and after some finagling got it in the wall so I don't run into the same "fall down" plight as everyone else using large 36+ inch posters in this. In the pic I have 4 of these posters in one.Now I can hide my mess and store my posters in plain sight! Yay. I needed a way to appease the aesthetics of my room while also mixing it as office space. I spent hours looking for retractable signs (like a window shade or pull down projector screen) and while I am positive they are out there like what we had in school in the 80s, I couldn't find what I wanted outside of retracting banners from the bottom for trade shows or this desk version in the picture. In reality I wanted something I could mount to the side or front of a desk or cube storage that is a hidden pull up screen that I'd attach the posters I want to. Obviously that should exist but I can't find it. Economically that should range from $20 to $50 depending on quality, etc. but I could only find items I could probably convert for $100 to $600. If you have any ideas, answer my question in the question section and point me in the right way.Regardless love it as plan C!

Simple idea; great item
This is a great solution for posting fliers in a dorm. Helps keep all that unsightly tape off the walls. Also assists in designating areas that are "okay to post." Very easy to put one-to-many sheets of paper in the holder. Also simple to remove the paper. Would buy again.

Poor Product
Product did not perform as expected based on similar product I had used. I wanted to use it to hold a few papers on my refrigerator. The magnet was not strong enough to keep it from sliding down and the papers (3-6). Would not stay in the slot. I’m sorry I spent $15 on it. The one that worked better was only $3.

Awesome product
I missed the fine print on this that they are about 12" long. They are inconsistent in size as they're all about the same size, but size is not exactly the same. It was okay for my application as we are using these to replace damaged ones that we have already in place for several years. We left up the ones in place and removed the end caps to insert the new rollers into the old holders which were missing rollers and end caps, so they're good as new!! Great product overall!

Perfect Size!
After "fighting" with student groups around the university over using tape to hang flyers on our walls we chose the Grip-A-Strip. Now everyone is using them and asking for more! The 12" size is perfect for bathroom stalls and its low profile won't get in the way. We have had a few fall off the wall after using the double sided tape that comes with the Grip a Strip. We fixed the problem by using some extra heavy duty double sided tape that we got from the box store. We also use the 36" on our conference rooms so that people don't tape the easel pad paper to the walls.

Different idea for the magnet!!
I love this thing! I edit text books and I'm constantly referring to other documents and this allows me to put the page in it and see it clearly above my PC on the wall. My only complaint would be the magnet. It didn't stick to the wall of the hutch very well. In the middle of the night, i heard a crash and didn't see it at first and realized it fell the next morning. There is an expensive lamp that got scratched when it fell. I like the idea of the magnet better than the sticky tapes but still wanted to be able to remove the rail completely (including the magnet) if needed so I used 3 Command Hook stickies instead. This allows me to remove the rail and magnet in the future but still allows the flexibility to take the rail itself down or adjust it from side to side or up and down a bit if needed. It's been up for a week now and has not weakened.

Incredibly versatile and sturdy!
I ordered both the 24in and 12in versions of this product and will probably still order more! These are incredibly well built pieces of equipment and blend right in to nearly any environment with their satin aluminum finish! I didn't use the magnets, adhesive strips, or brackets that shipped with the product but instead used a couple of Officemate Panel Wire Hooks (see link) and secured it with an additional cubicle clip and it could not have worked out better!Officemate Panel Wire Hooks, Silver, Box of 24 (30190)
