This wire should fit. It will be a bit of a tighter fit but it is flexible enough to fit in 1 inch channel.

Q: Would these fit the farmers friend kit channels?

I do not know about the farmers friend channels I used these all the time with the u channels that you get in the high tunnel kits and I reuse them every year they are awesome and very easy to use and they hold the plastic without fail

Really depends on the shape of your greenhouse. You will at a minimum need enough to go the length of both sides of your greenhouse. That is at least 15 if you just have a baseboard. If you also need need it for the hip board you will need 30 pieces just for the sides. Then you will also need it for your end hoops. I would guess that you need 13 pieces for that. Then you probably also need it for the baseboard of the end walls. That will be about 10 pieces. Then if you have doors you will need it to frame those and any vent openings. Looking at about 3 pieces per door.
