Excellent Tea at a very reasonable cost
Not the best Darjeeling, but at this price it cannot be bettered. To get the very best Darjeeling will cost you twice this much. This is, in our opinion, is an excellent every day tea.

Good, Indian tea
Strong , earthy, not the qualities usually attributed to Earl Grey, which should be delicately refreshing. However, unlike most Earl Grey it’s sufficiently infused with the right amount of bergamot oil, and the scent is just beautiful. It is well packaged and stays fresh with the brilliant air tight bag supplied. Real honest to goodness Indian black tea, for the connoisseur. Expensive but worth its money. With Earl Grey as with Darjeeling, never ever use tea bags.

Shocked how good it is.
I got this using hubby's prime account, I'm actually surprised I didn't get a telling off for spending so much on tea. But saying that I'm sure he will be so pleased to know that this was actually a very good buy.I have been an avid herbal tea drinker for years. Ginger is one of my usual but twinnings and the rest of them don't seem to hit you the same way as freshly boiled ginger tea does. But in order to get the true benefits you have to boil it on the hob for quite some time.I use a persian recipe with tumeric and cinnamon and the thing has to simmer for 30 minutes. So I wait a very long time for my 150ml of tea 🙄. But I like it so much I do it anyway.Having become so sick of this process and wanting to drink my ginger and tumeric tea more often through out the day, I decided I would try this fancy fancy tea. After reading the reviews I was convinced this could be a decent tea and the fact that Oprah has it, well how could I not try it! I will be honest I didn't hold a lot of high hopes for IT, as at the end of the day it's dried down ginger and dried tumeric. But it has pleasantly surprised me, to the point that I will not be returning to twinnings and their fancy cheap offers at the supermarket. The ginger has a nice kick and the tumeric comes out. I'm pretty sure there will be no hope left for my teeth to ever be white, as I'll be drinking this regularly along side my morning black coffee! The packaging made it decadent and knowing that it was harvested in November this year made me know for sure how fresh it was.I don't give reviews as a regular thing but I honestly felt like this deserved it!I did add a tsp of buckwheat honey into mine but I regretted it straight after as it took away the taste of the ginger. And it's got a natural sweetness already. This will become a regular tea for me, I will now have to arrange my finances to suit my new fancy tea lifestyle. But joking aside it is something that's worth it. And I really want to try the rose black tea blend one but I'm going to hold myself back and finish at least a box in my tea cupboard before I go crazy shopping.

I'm hooked on this now.
The first time I tried this, I used the recommended 1 tsp in a mug of warm almond milk. It was a bit overwhelming and gritty, so the second time I made sure it was a flat/level teaspoon (and not a heaping teaspoon), and it was much nicer. The third time I added it to the almond milk when I was heating it in the saucepan, and stirred it with a whisk. I also added just a drop of maple syrup (less than half a teaspoon). For me, that did the trick. Now I'm hooked on this as both a morning and evening drink. I tried another brand (that came in sachets) which tasted absolutely disgusting and artificial. This Vahdam powder tastes WAY better and is way more value for money. I will definitely buy more.

Completely different and unpleasant taste to a previous purchase
I again purchased the company's first flush Darjeeling which I had previously enjoyed from my initial purchase two years ago. Whether it was a bad batch I cant tell but the tea did not look the same. It was mostly green, not black and had an unpleasant taste like it had been contaminated with another product. It simply didn't look the same as last time indicating a quality control issue.I contacted the company and had a quick response sending them the details requested. They offered to send another packet but I declined. Really online shopping has just become a lottery, even a repeat purchase from a previously trusted brand. There is just no way of knowing what you will get.Who knows, but it has put me off buying tea online as I am sure purchasing it this way leaves you open to getting an inferior product. I threw it out due to the unpleasant taste and wont buy from this company again. Having paid a premium price for a product I feel there is a breach of trust when you receive an inferior product.I've also become more cynical about the background story presented by companies like this. Creating some romantic narrative about a family heritage with slick marketing almost always ends up as just another marketing twist to extract higher prices.

Better than I thought
Excellent so far, tastes ok too...

Too much plastic packing
It is nice loose leaf green tea but the amount of packaging is way over the top. Just a bag of leaves in one box would suffice.
