Portal is fantastic
Of all the perplexus range I've played the portal is the most interesting and challenging, so far only completing level 1 all the way through, plenty more hours to enjoy finishing levels 2 and 3

The Best Ball-Maze Game There Is!
I have been waiting ages to get my hands on this! This is the latest Perplexus game, from the same design team that brought us Perplexus Original, Perplexus Epic, Perplexus Twist, Perplexus Death Star, etc.. in fact, the first designer to bring us this form of game puzzle. As with the others, the idea is to guide a ball-bearing around a fiendishly challenging obstacle course of pathways set in plastic globe which you manipulate in your hands, numbering, in this case, 150 points which you must pass. This is the most complex and yet really enjoyable game to date, and yet, the engineering and design of the course is so clever and thorough, so beautifully considered, that one may have full confidence of completing the course if only one can learn and master it. That's part of the joy of these games - of course, you'll fall off a lot, but with patience your hand-eye coordination will improve, your muscle memory will improve, and after a bit you'll grin with triumph, having completed the challenge. Then you'll want to do it again and again, a great toy for a distraction from other things. In this case, a new gimmick is introduced, the Portal button, which affects the trackway in so many different ways, it's hard to describe, from simple movable barriers to lifting sections of track, it's great fun to play with. I am going to have a wonderful Christmas and New Year with this to play with.I must here say a word or two about the other ball-maze games in the market, namely Addictaball and cousins FrustrataBall, ImpossiBall, etc, and Kidult Intellect balls. You should certainly avoid buying your child any of these cheaper games, they are very poorly put together, if you like, un-engineered, and will be a grave disappointment to your children. They are nearly all poorly made copies of the Perplexus Original game of 2010 (currently marketed as Perplexus Beast) or the later introductory game Perplexus Rebel (still available) and are a travesty when compared with the well-designed Perplexus games. Sure, they have a few parts different from Perplexus to avoid complete copyright infringement, but they are awful and should be shunned.

Perplexus Portal
I was gifted the Perplexus Portal puzzle (as an adult in my 30s) and I LOVE it - so I bought a couple as gifts for family members in their 30s and 60s. All of us have been absolutely delighted with the puzzle! It's challenging, engaging, and keeps us intrigued for hours. It’s a fantastic way to stimulate the mind and have fun at the same time—I'm sure it will continue to provide entertainment for a long time. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I ordered multiple products, and some arrived in brand-new packaging while others appeared to be returns, with slightly worn or damaged packaging. So I had to return a couple to get a couple of new ones to be presentable as presents; hence I have given 4 out of 5 stars. That said, the puzzles themselves are of great quality and make ideal gifts for anyone, from young tweens to adults. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and fun challenge!
