Q: Can you open it manually?

Not easily. The lid lays inside the rim with nothing to grab onto. I guess if I wanted to do that I would probably attach a piece of tape and fold it over to have a way to life the lid. Or, you could take the whole lid assembly off, but that wouldn't be very convenient or sanitary.

Q: Is the sensor of this trash can sensitive? Will there be a delay in opening the lid?

Actually, it often opens when I'm not expecting it to. It's quite sensitive and opens quickly.

Q: Will this trash can pinch hands?

No - the lid is very lightweight plastic and is opened via 3 AA batteries located in the lid frame.
