Excellent Mental Exercise!
As much as I love chess, sometimes I don't have an immediate opponent to play against. I found that the increase in challenge for the puzzles kept my mind fresh and flexible while not playing a standard game. Quite the enjoyable change of pace.

Solitaire Chess? Yes!
After a long absence of not playing chess and also wanting other potential players to learn some basic moves, I purchased three of these, giving two away as gifts.Playing solitaire chess is limiting in scope but the goal of this game is to teach the moves that isolate and capture the “King”, the end game. The games progresses from the very basic to the more advanced. The player learns the allowed moves assigned to each chess piece and the proper sequence to execute the capture.Overall, found the game engaging and informative.

Great Brain Teaser
Great Brain Teaser!!!! There are 4 levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. They give you the solutions to all the games if you get stuck. I had some problems at the beginner level because it's kind of strange making moves without an opponent. After I got the hang of it, the beginner level was fairly easy. The Intermediate level was alittle harder, but I got most of them without looking at the answers. But the Advanced and Expert Levels, Oh Boy! You really got to think about the moves. I mean, in the beginner and intermediate levels, you only have to think about 2 or 3 moves ahead. The Advanced and Expert levels require you to think further ahead.Overall, I enjoyed each game. What I basically did was try a strategy; and if it didn't work. I start again until I won. I only thought about 2 or 3 moves ahead, because if I tried to think beyond that, I got exhausted after a while, I bought the game to be challenged, but I mainly wanted to have fun. The Beginner and Intermediate Levels were enjoyable, but the Advanced and Expert Levels were a bit too much for me.

This is a great solo practice book for solving chess problems
This is a great solo practice book for solving chess problems. All the pieces are one color. All the puzzles are solved by capturing all the pieces except one. The only thing I don't like about it is that some of the puzzles are solved by moving the same piece repeatedly, which took me a little while to get used to. I was expecting something where the pieces would have to "take turns", so solutions where one piece sweeps the board took a little getting used to. Even so, it's good training on how to move the pieces, how to use them to capture, etc.

My favorites
I love this game! It keeps me occupied for hours. I prefer solitary logic games and this is one of my favorites. With fewer pieces than traditional chess, there are less rules to remember. You can set up the board from easy to difficult challenges depending on how much time you’d like to spend on it.

Check the price!
I bought this for my daughter to practice chess. It is an excellent tool for sharpening your skills. Unfortuneately I missed where it was $73!!! I was going through my account and lost my mind. It is a great tool but not for $73. I would shop around.
