Kappa is a respected brand. The tub arrives sealed in plastic. The Carrageeenan is very good quality and worked well with my recipe.I would buy again.

Vegan Gelatine
This is a specialist ingredient that I use to make homemade vegan cheese. Shop bought vegan cheeses are below average at best... Making your own takes a bit of effort, but it's very rewarding... This product is used to thicken homemade almond milk which can then be used to make a meltable vegan cheddar...It's an essential ingredient for a lot of vegan produce... Highly recommended

Excellent product!
Very happy! This is an excellent jellying agent for savoury dishes as it really doesn’t taste anything. First time I used it I put in too much powder so the jelly got too hard, but it’s really easy to use. This little tub will go a very long way.

Great for thickness desserts
I like that with just a little you can obtain a thick dessert.

Great for making vegan cheese
Good for making meltable vegan cheese. Just a shame about the plastic packaging which is needlessly sturdy. A paper pack would be perfect

Does what it says
I bought this to make vegan mozzarella. It worked great.

Terrible smell
Weird and overwhelming plastic smell to this, unlike any other carrageenan I've used or purchased. I did not trust it, as it smells nothing like carrageenan. I don't know if it was the packaging or what, but I threw it away, as the smell was suspicious, was not a carrageenan smell, and never faded, even after transferring to a new container.
