How many cups of tea in each capsule please

Hi, Thank you for your question…my name is Alpa and I am the co-founder of True Veda. Making green tea by brewing tea leaves is not a consistent activity for obvious reasons. Water temperature, time of steeping, amount of tea leaves, and brand of tea leaves all affect the tea’s final flavor and thus, the quantities of compounds present in the tea itself. But as far as research goes, there have been efforts to quantify the components of green tea extracted after steeping tea leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes. In one study, resulting brewed tea contained 87 - 106 mg of polyphenols per gram of green tea dry matter. One capsule of our Green Tea Extract is 400mg which contains contains 50% Polyphenols or 200mg. So at a very high level you could probably expect one of our capsules to be equivalent to 2.5 cups of green tea brewed with 1g of dry green tea matter. As mentioned it is very difficult to quantify this exactly. The main benefit of our capsules is primarily the convenience of taking a capsule over brewing green tea, benefits if you do not like the green tea flavour and also concentration is definately higher.
