This truck is super cool, but by the time you get bored and upgrade to 3s, it is much cheaper (and way less work) to just buy the 3s version for a little bit more than this one cost. If you upgrade this to a 3s motor you will break other parts soon and need to spend time and money to beef up the rest of the drive train. You can use the 3s stock parts or buy third party upgrades - but you will need additional upgrades soon after a 3s brushless motor upgrade, so best just to buy the 3s version out the gate.This one is not as fast as Gorgon and is heavier. Seems a bit underpowered with the brushed stock motor so 4 stars for that.If you want to bash, go for a Gorgon it's less money and much lighter for big air. This one is heavier and more balanced weight wise with the motor in the middle where Gorgon has the motor in back and is heavier in the back to kick up the nose off jumps.Stock Gorgon on 2s 7200mah lipo outlasts this one using the same battery by over twice as long run time. That's how much heavier this is than Gorgon.If you want 4x4 Granite, just buy the 3s version and you won't be disappointed. That one is a beast for sure!

Got this for my nephew, he’s new to rc vehicles. This beast can handle everything he throws at it. You can grow with this model and upgrade it for speed, to making it a 4x4, wide track kit, it’s a hobby grade rc so it will last you for many years to come. I’ve been in the rc hobby for over 30 years, spend a little more than the toy grade Walmart/target specials. You will be happy you did, hands down.

I really wanted to like this truck. It looks great, has good parts and can get replacement parts here on Amazon. However there is just so much bad about this truck that I can't ignore.First off, I used 2 batteries through this and the motor burned up. Amazon was quick to replace it for me. The other major problem with this truck, is that there is too much power to the rear wheel drive and will constantly spin out when going into a corner. It actually worked better in reverse then forward. I ended up putting the 4x4 upgrade from Arrma on the replacement truck. I ran that one for 2 cycles with the stock battery and that motor started smoking and seized. Now I am outside the return window and will have to find updated motors somewhere else.Either upgrade the to brushless version or go with the Traxxas RCs.

When our 16 year old asked for a truck for his birthday we were relieved he meant an R/C one! Hours of fun (if you have a back up battery) taking off jumps, racing down dirt roads, flying over grass. Try to stay out of wet leaves though!Younger brother had so much fun that a similar truck ended up on his birthday wishlist a couple of weeks later!

Well my son let me choose a gift for my birthday this year and this was it. It is now one of my favorites even though they did ship the incorrect color. You will notice this review is supposed to be for the Orange but i actually have the blue in the photo. I received the wrong one but because it was a gift and I still like it, i didn't exchange it. Blue happens to be my sons favorite color.So it is brushed so its not extremely fast but it is upgradable and I have already ordered the 4X4 upgrade kit. I do also plan to replace the 550 Motor ESC combo with a brushless system in the future.Great looking truck and my. largest and favorite of my fleet of RC Trucks!

MY SON LOVES THIS. HE IS NOT EASY ON HIS RC TRUCKS BUT THIS ONE HAS DEFINITELY STOOD UP TO HIS USE!
