What does the lifetime guarantee cover

Sorry can't help. All I have found is a reference to the life time guarantee, even on the main website. Not too worried as my other one I've had for 40 years and rarely had to sharpen it, and the can open only once, and I used that a lot over the years.

Is this uk legal? (Largest blade under 3 inches?)

The small one is 7cm, so that would be legal in the UK. 2.5cm is one inch. So three inches is 7.5cms, 7cm is less than the legal limit.

Can you carry around in public for emergencies and such? Also is there an age limit on who can carry this?- I know you have to be 18 to purchase it.

You have to be over 18 to purchase it but there's no age restrictions on carrying it. Because the blade is under 3 inches and doesn't lock, you don't need a reason to carry it. In short, anyone can carry this knife anywhere in the UK legally, although some places such as schools might have rules in place that prohibit knives.
