Yesi used it to seal up my offset smoker but make sure you apply it with a wet finger and do small bits at a time or its messy and flakes off after two or three smokes

I used this on a solid fuel appliance and it's very good. In your case because you're dealing with gas, maybe it's better to ask a gas engineer in case of leaks? Best be safe.
