Control the water flow from pond pump to filter equipment. Easy to install.

Followed the instructions and you need clamps on the end to secure it but I think that is to be expected given the usage of the device. It's has really helped stop the overflow problem with the filters in my pond. I have been really happy once I tightened it up enough.

I dont understand the comments against this valve, if your careful when fitting and make sure its not bent or twisted in any way it is fantastic, certainly has stopped my filter box from overflowing after i bought a slightly over powerful pump, Would def' recomend,

There's always been a little discrepancy bewteen the volume of water my pond pump sucks up into my filtration system and the amount that's returned to the pond. This control valve, after a little practice has solved that.

i noticed the filter in my father inlaw's pond was constantly overflowing, defeating the purpose of having one pretty much. the pump is too strong and the water needs more time to go through the filter so i bought this.i measured the thickness of the corrugated inlet hose pipe and thought it'll go onto the 40mm (largest) bit of the valve. lucky i double checked before cutting off the adapter because the thickness of the hose meant it actually goes into the middle sized adapter and not the largest.the hose goes snuggly onto the adapter and is clamped with a garden hose clamp. the adapter is made from a strong plastic but i was still cautious of over tightening the clamps and potentially crushing/ cracking it, so be mindful of that.overall, an easy install and simple to use product.

The water from my pond pump passes through a UV which has two outlets, one goes to the filter, the other to a secondary point at the opposite side of the pond to assist water flow and add aeration (by dropping into a raised pipe which exits under the water). I wanted to increase the flow through the filter so purchased this flow-control valve. It has a nice ball valve and handle which turn easily but that’s where the good stops! The connections are completely non-standard. I have pond fittings from various manufacturers such as Oase, Jebao, All Pond Solutions etc and they all have stepped connectors which fit the two standard-sized black pond hose which I use ... this valve’s stepped connectors do not fit. I then tried to use some spare connectors I have (from the above manufacturers) but that’s no good ... they fit but this valve doesn’t have the flat ends against which the standard flat seals fit, instead the seal is a flimsy O-ring on the outside of the connector which slides into the valve. So I was unable to make a satisfactory connection. Disappointing.

I used this flow control to shut off the flow to my 3 barrel filter system. It is well constructed and does not leak. It's able to hold back 220litres of water at a 2metre head. Easy to operate the lever with clear directional flow markings. There was some silicon grease inside where the valve operates. I would suggest if your using this for Koi or fish pond to check first. I read the previous reviews prior to purchasing all where useful. I'm very pleased with the quality and the price
