Do electric sharpeners work for any chain pitch i.e. 3/8P or .325"

Yes they do, there is an adjusting screw to position the link stop which you set to grind the minimum required to sharpen your chain. It takes about 5 minutes to sharpen a chain.

Angle hi i have a husqavarna chainsaw which states side 60 degrees top 30 degrees and file angle 10 degrees. what angle would i then need to set

Set the chain guide to 10 degrees the blade is set at the correct 30% and the shape of the blade gives you the 60 degrees. That is you only need to worry about the 10 degrees the rest works. Obviously you will have to set to the other hand 10 degrees to do the alternate teeth

can someone with no experience use one

Hi Stephen, no problems, just takes a bit of fettling to set up correct angle to chain, took me 5 min, and wondered why I hadn't bought one before. The only thing was that the clamp didn't clamp the chain and I had to undo locking mechanism to tighten it up which too another 10 min to figure out and sort it. Would definitely recommend, will save a fortune buying new chains and cuts like new when sharpened.
