Replacement Power Cord / Lead for Braun Countour Series Electric Shavers (Non-Retail Packaging)

Ordered as the razor Amazon supplied came with a European plug - bad Amazon as that is illegalWorks and fits perfectly - just a straight wire rather than a coiled cord. Not an issue for me as using with permanently situated clean and renew base station

Before the 7 year old original one failed and took the 1A fuse in the adapter out as well, it must have been underperforming because even though the shaver showed full charge it soon ran down. I thought that the battery was getting old and needed replacing. With the new power cord the battery seems to be getting a fuller charge as the indicator stays on max for several shaves now instead of dropping down to 4/5ths almost as soon as you started the first shave. The cleaning unit which the power cord also supplies was also playing up with the old unit and was often needing resets, this now seems to be cured.I am very pleased with this new power cord.

Item was as specified and worked satisfactorily

I bought this as a replacement for the original charger that failed just before Christmas. Luckily I had enough charge in my shaver, series 7,to last me. It arrived yesterday, a day earlier than expected and I now have a fully refreshed and recharged shaver. It has a straight cord rather than the original's curly, but that isn't a problem.Note: newer UK plug adaptors (3 pin to 2 pin) are designed to take standardised European 2 pin plugs. If you try to use an older style adaptor, as others have said, this will be too loose. Just purchase a new adaptor and the problem will be solved!

I ordered this based on a couple comments saying they purchased this power lead to replace the ones they got with there shavers but the pins were to small and said this fits well. I have not opened the packaging as can clearly see and line it up with my other power lead and see there the same, which is the tiny pins(European) NOT the larger uk pins so this power adapter is useless to me and wasted my money, this plug can cause a fire as loose fit in shaver socket. ( picture is uk Braun plug thick pins not in packaging and this new plug in it’s rapping thin pins)

this is perfect to use as a travel charger, fits in in a very small space in your suitcase to take.

As mentioned before , this item has EURO pins . Same voltage and amperage but requires an EURO adaptor to fit to mains properly. Delivery and communication -- Excellent0.
