I wish I had this when I was younger
I bought the bow for my daughter who is 11 and learning how to play the violin. She's at the Suzuki Book 4 level, and compared to the cheap-ish bow that came with her violin, she's able to control the bow much better. Trying it myself, I wish I had it at her age, because it makes learning some of the more advanced bowing techniques a lot easier and a lot less frustrating

Plays nice but hair fell out immediately
It has a nice tone but had to rehair after a couple uses and I dont play hard. Disappointing.

It produces a very nice tone
My electric violin recordings sound very good. I will update this review after I have played with this bow a little longer. It seems to need less rosin than the low priced bows I have been using for many years and I will like longer longevity if that happens. As of now I am pleased with this bow.

Amazing!
I love this bow. I am an orchestra director, and I was looking for something for myself that would improve my sound and not break the bank. I play in a local college orchestra and now I use this bow daily! This bow really does stand up with some of the expensive ones that I've tried. Obviously, this isn't the best bow out there, but for my playing needs, this fits it. Very light and has great action, which is my preference with bows. If you are looking for something to improve your sound, get this bow! Love, love, LOVE Coda Bows!

CodaBow. Buy from authorized dealer.
I love my new CodaBow. It is smooth, responsive and beautiful to behold. I recently purchased it on Amazon through Evergreen Workshop. When I registered the product for warranty I was told by CodaBow that Evergreen Workshop is not an authorized CodaBow dealer and therefore they could not validate the warranty. I was able to return the bow through Amazon for a full refund, including shipping and CodaBow directed me to an authorized dealer, Johnson Strings. I am incredibly impressed with my new bow and the customer service that I received through the CodaBow and Johnson Strings companies. They take great pride in their product and therefore make sure that their dealers are knowledgeable and selling registered products.

Novice Violinist
I am very impressed with my new bow. A year and a half year ago when I started to take violin lessons, my music store provided a Yamaha AV-5 violin with a kit bow. I wanted to upgrade my bow so, after some research, I chose the CodaBow Prodigy Carbon Fiber 4/4 Violin Bow. It is very responsive and beautiful to behold. For a quality bow, the price is just right. It is now my first bow. In a few months I will probably purchase a CodaBow Diamond NX Carbon Fiber 4/4 Violin Bow (or maybe a Diamond SX depending upon my pocket book).

impulse or intuition?
the jury is still out, perhaps in 5 or 10 years I might be able to craft a review
