Didn't work straight out of the box. As others have said, the battery cap doesn't close properly and even holding it shut, the suction motor didn't work.Also, you can't get a refund because Amazon automated customer service takes you to the seller messaging page, which tells you that as Amazon delivered it, you have to go through them, and round and round you go without any option to contact an actual person.Put your money towards a better quality product, not from this seller.

Was sceptical about this product after seeing some pretty bad reviews however it works perfect. Cleaned the gravel very well and has really made it so much easier to scoop up dirt and left over food from my turtles and fish

Was a bit disappointed,first time of using a stone from bottom of fish tank got stuck,cleaner refused to work after that also found the drain hose that was supplied with it it’s so flimsy

I have bought other hidom products before and been happy with them so thought I would try this. I purchased the 2 x C batteries needed and attempted to install them. All the other reviews were correct.The battery compartment cover won’t stay in place once the batteries are inserted, so the batteries keep disconnecting

Was sceptical ordering this seeing previous reviews,wernt they right. It sucks the gravel up too into the bag wich means empty the bag and the collected dirt back into tank. I have a 5ft tank as can imagine thats alot of gravel to keep putting back in . If the botom of the syphon had a filter to take waste only then ide be rating a 4 star . The suction is pretty powerfull tho as it sucks gravel up too i have to keep it at gravel surface so i cant do a proper clean . No problem closing the lid of battery compartment and no issue with bag coming off. Value for money-no

To be honest i have yet to carry out a full tank clean but i did try it out for a few minutes and was happy with the results. I did have a gravel vacuum before this one which was very powerful which is not always a good thing as i spent more time unblocking the stones but although this one is a lot less aggressive its seems to carry out the job very well.

Received and works okay. However, the battery lid at the top is flimsy and had weak clips to hold the lid down. This will eventually fail and probably result to taping the battery lid down. Go for the screw-down battery lid variant.
