Excellent starter kit
Brilliant little kit. Doesn’t come with instructions but I just followed the picture on Amazon page, ended up buying 2 because my soldering was pretty rusty on the first one but was well chuffed with the second one.

Great product for price and excellent for curious young minds!
A great product for the price. And if one uses the video (easy to find - just search youtube using product name) easy to construct. And it worked first time. Basic (only) soldering skills needed as well as own headphones and batteries. I love it. It is a must for anyone wanting to have something for any curious young mind to experiment with

Great little kit
My first attempt at surface mount, the chip took a few minutes of careful soldering. The rest of the kit was easily built in half an hour. The radio fired into life first time and even without an antenna was picking up multiple stations clearly. No instructions were provided but the component values are printed on the back of the PCB. The resistors are all the same value, the diodes are the same type and orientation marked on the board. Anyone with basic electronics skills would have no issues.

No instructions, no use
Bought this as a gift, and expected it to come with instructions and a circuit diagram. Appalling lack of documentation, no paperwork, just a small anti-static bag with a bundle of components. I'm too embarassed to give it as a gift, and will be returning it immediately.

Awesome little radio for the price!
Awesome little radio for the price. The surface mount chip is a little fiddly to solder if your eyesight is lacking (you need a magnifying glass). But the stereo sound quality is really good and it worked first time. Definitely recommended for a bit of fun and to teach about radio.

It works.
The media could not be loaded. Took me about an hour to assemble, and at first it just produced a hissing sound, but after I re-flowed the solder on a couple of the IC joints, it suddenly sprung into life.It would've been a lot easier to assemble if the IC had been socket mounted, rather than soldered direct to the circuit board. Likewise, an on-board battery compartment would've been handy and neater.Overall, not a bad kit, and not too hard to assemble without written instructions. For the price, not bad.

Not suitable for children
I sadly bought 3 of these, in hope of giving a presentation at the local primary school. Totally unsuitable needs skill and a magnifier to fit SMD IC. I have many years servicing in the electronics trade and this was a mistake.
