Minelab CTX 3030 All-Terrain High-Performance Metal Detector for Adults with Advanced Multi-Frequency Technology (11" Waterproof Double-D Smart Coil & Headphones Included)

I bought this unit in 2019 because I saw it used on Oak Island.Using it is more than just fun, it is REWARDING because you WILL FIND metal with it!What causes me to brag about and praise it now is that I thought I broke it leaving in my garage (getting too hot). I was wrong. The screen was not damaged. It was my new fancy sun glasses (Costa) that made the screen look damaged! I used to wear Rayban Aviators when I went boating, or kayaking to remote beaches to metal detect.So I corresponded by email with Minelab customer service (multiple notes) and shipped off in the crate I built shown in the photo above to protect it from shipping damage. Minelab's Customer Service rep contacted me this morning and informed me, "it works fine."CONSIDER the exceptionally HIGH ETHICS of such a notice and the expertise of Minelab's service facility in Aurora, IL!IMHO, you but Minelab equipment here on Amazon with COMPLETE FAITH that (once again) Amazon has screened and provided an EXCELLENT product and manufacturer for we customers.Thank you Minelab and THANK YOU AMAZON!

This is my very first review ever. The reason is not only the performance of this state-of-the-art detector that has outperformed every White’s I have ever owned but the outstanding customer support. I just returned from a long planned vacation in which my brother (who used my old White’s) and I spent a week in Savannah Georgia metal detecting and fishing. After the first day the screen of my CTX3030 went dead. I called Mom belabor and got Jamie Moeller. She shipped me a new CTX over night and I shipped off my unit for repair. It was ready for me before I returned home. Minelabs is a classy organization that will get all my future business.

So far no treasure chests, but I've found 11 pennies, 2 nickels, a matchbox toy car, a toy motorcycle, several screws, several nails, a few bits of aluminum siding scraps all on my 1/6 acre property... The coins seem to have been deposited during the great "loose change" storm of 1975 that hit my area...

So far this slams it out the park for coins an relics. I would rate this at the top of detectors that I’ve used and tried.

WONDERFUL metal detector. I would DEFINITELY not use regularly in water. I think it is okay to take in water on occasion, but I have gone through three of these detectors from water damage. I would say it is more water resistant. The detector is AWESOME on land though.

This item is as described. Probably the best wet/dry detector out there, and waterproof to the hilt.Item was shipped promptly.Started finding coins the first day out on the beach. Found a small kids gold ring the third time out.
