It works!!! Bought one, tried it out. Bought two more.
It DOES work. I had a gnat issue in the kitchen. Food scraps in the kitchen trash can (under the sink) caused a build-up of gnats almost overnight, it seemed. It took a few days to wipe them out but this did the job. (I also sprayed insect killer into the trash can.) As stated, I bought one and tried it out. I then bought two more, giving one to a friend and having another as a back-up if needed for another room or whatever. The ONLY negative I have with this unit is the short extension cord. It's also a usb type cord so you can't just plug it directly into a wall socket. It's rechargeable but the unit doesn't run all night on the battery alone. That problem is EASILY solved by just buying a longer extension cord and usb adapter so that you can plug it into a regular wall socket and also have enough cord to move it around better. I bought both at Walmart (see picture). Also, be aware that the little electric grid will kill and blow the gnat out the side of the unit. The gnat is so small that the internal fan (below) doesn't tend to suck the gnat into the internal tray, also below. A larger flying insect (fly) does tend to get sucked into the internal tray after being zapped to death. I did NOT find this to be of concern to me. Just don't put a plate of food right next to the zapper. Leave an open space around the zapper if you are trying to kill gnats. Wipe them up later... takes about 2 seconds.

DOES NOT WORK on any flying insects!!!!
I put these in my rental house after my last tenants left it in poor conditions and had flies everywhere (pest control couldn’t come for a couple of weeks) these stupid things didn’t attract flies and in the back room where there were so many flies not one got shocked even when landing on these so called zappers I figured okay so I guess they don’t work for flies I will try them on my patio while the mosquitoes are bad…..didn’t work on them either. So much wasted money on a crappy product!!!!!! Doesn’t kill any bugs at all.

Sort Of
Just got it today. It's seems to be sort of working during day light. My problem is it isn't clearly advertised that it MUST BE PLUGGED IN TO WORK. Since that's true, I don't like where the usb plugs into the device. It's near the top on the side. It would have been better if it operated by charged batt.

Wow.. Amazing.. I never realized how happy to see a fruit fly get zapped..
Amazing Product.. The device sports a nice ultra violet light in the center and a fan at the bottom controlled by a switch for power and button for fan. The fan is quiet, I normally leave it off unless I really hate the fruit fly and want a show soon.It easy to sleep with it on as you can hook it up to a USB charging device and keep it running forever.. and in the middle of the night when you hear the ZAP and it wakes you from your sleep... awwww yeahhhh.. Best time ever waking to a sound. It has a loop that sets in on the top, it would be ideal to have a hook but meh. The bottom comes off for cleaning and where the fan is.. It is about the size of 1.5 coffee mugs high and a coffee mug wide.. for the real people ;-) ..The only CON I could think of is the hook needed vs metal loop and an white light for other things that like raw light.. But I guess normal fly too will be attracted to UV light. So a win. Buy now..Not paid for this.. Just in a few, and really love to work at my CPU and see it wack a bug or two..

Meh. They work but don't attract well.
Got them for fruit flies. The reviews said they worked. They do but I found myself moving them to where the little buggers were and then shooing them into the zapper. Lol. Did work but would be nice if I drew them in better.
