A new midsole combines with PU cushioning to ensure maximum comfort even over longer distances. Recommended to compete on a range of difficult terrains from Snow/Ice to Rocky/Technical Paths, the Salewa Mountain Trainer incorporates industry leading GORE-TEX fabric within the lining of the shoe. Uniting water and windproof properties within the same construction without sacrificing breathability, proficient technology envelopes the shoe. Garnishing the upper 360° full rubber rand, suede leather possesses highly durable and robust qualities, yielding abrasion resistance allowing you to combat differing terrains. Within the midsole, a high-performance ortholite sockliner is embedded providing long-term cushioning for a smoother ride. Supplemented with Cleansport NXT, odour is quelled at the source, enabling a fresher, longer lasting interior. Finishing the construction, further hi-lighting top of the range performance qualities, a Vibram Alpine Approach Outsole delivers impeccable performance on all types of terrains. Designed with differing lug sole patterns, specifically crafted for outdoor activity a greater purchase underfoot ensues.

Amazing comfort
Just received my order an what a surprise - original box despite what was said in the previous reviews. All perfect and nothing missing. I've put them on and they are like second pair of socks! As this is my first part of the review I will finish here but after a week or two of walking will add more details to share my shoe experience!

Comfortable, quality walking boots
Fit straight out of the box, size was spot on a 43 (size 9 UK). The sole is quite rigid which is what I needed and they seem weatherproof. I've yet to test this out by spending all day out in the wet but they handled walking through a stream without any soggy socks. All in all a quality boot at an OK-ish price. I hope they last as long as my last pair of boots (Salomon) which have just started to let in water after 10 years!

Goretex
Unfortunately the goretex lined boot so called waterproof is not.Worn for the first time in gentle rain the boots left my socks wet in various places.Impossible to get in touch with the seller and Salewa.Extremely disapointed and I recommend buying alternative brands.

Quality boot
I like the style, fit and comfort. I’ve found the brand to be a little different to others and really pleased I stumbled across them via Amazon.
