What is the thickness (mil) of the tape material?

It doesn't specify on the label, but it is strong enough to withstand strong winds.

will this work on window screen?

I don't know, I suppose you could tape it to the screen. It isn't actually tape itself. I tie it to the top of the fencing from one end of my chickens yard to the opposite side to scare hawks away. It works really well for that.

Does this hold up in the wind and UV? (Last tape I bought falls apart and breaks even in light winds.)

the strips I first put up lasted over a month in Phoenix (our record month) with just a little bit if crinkle and loss of luster. My bar fell in the pool a few times which may have pushed it along. The second strips I've put up has lasted much longer, also falling in the pool. I secured them on an old pool sweeping bar with 3m scotch tape. They have not been blown away by wind. It got all the fat pigeons and doves to stop hanging out on my waterfall feature. I feel it's the best 12 dollars I spent to use 30 cents of ribbon material
