Q: Reviews on here vary about what needs to be manually changed - I have seen some reviews saying month needs manual changing, some saying only year, some saying nothing. So which is it, anyone any ideas??

Month ,day and date changes automatically but on 30 day months you have to forward the date etc manually or you will have a 31 day month every month lol the display is large and is great for my father who is now in a home.

Q: can I buy spare numbers for this clock?

This clock is so unreliable and uses a lot of current use it until it fails then you will have lots of space letters

Q: How do i set the day and date. It is so confusing and keeps jumping the day and date. ?

It's a pain!! But all being well only needs to be done every four years!! Firstly, set the clock to the correct time and then remove the batteries for the calendar ( the set of four AA ) Set the Date, the Day of the Week and Month in the direction of the arrows in that order. I suggest setting the day as yesterday, just in case the clock is 12 hours out as it's a dial not a 24 hour setting, then put the batteries back in and advance the clock to the correct time and date.
