Useful accessories for someone that already has a micro:bit
This is a slew of input devices, sensors, cool LED ring, and edge connector and extension cables for someone looking to grow their micro:bit controller capabilities. Note that a micro:bit is not included with this kit.The including input and output options do allow a fair amount of expansion to a micro:bit so that kids can level up on their creativity. The light and magnet sensors are pretty neat, but the LED ring takes the cake. It really does look pretty cool, and adds a big cool factor to this kit.

Cool, but complicated
Got this for my 10-year-old, along with the MeowBot.This is cool, but everything is a bit more complicated than he can handle. I'm able to figure it out, but I'm an adult with a comp sci background.I think for a teenager, this would probably be alright, but it's just a bit too complicated for my kid.

Great add on for the Microbit
If you have a Microbit this is one of the best add on kits, for STEM learning.

Good Compliment to Micro:bit
If you have a Micro:bit this set is a good addon. All of the components are neatly packaged in a small box. The sensors are individually wrapped in ESD bags. The components are a good quality. They are cleanly soldered with an organized layout. It has a cleaner look and is a little more kid friendly compared to an Arduino kit that usually has open wire ends and requires the use of a breadboard. When looking at coding starter kits I value the resources available for the kit. The micro:bit already has a good website with easy to follow tutorials. This KittenBot kit follows a similar template. It provides plenty of screenshots often referring to the micro:bit site, so the tutorials are easy to follow and thorough. Overall this kit is on the high end for price, given the amount of sensors you get, but they are good quality and easy to use for a beginner.

Excellent Introduction to sensors and actuators for Microbit Platform. Doesn't include MCU Board
Microbit is an exciting education platform similar to Arduino but more exclusively catering to the educational market with their extensive education resources on the site microbit dot org. It can be programmed in Makecode (based on Scratch) Javascript, Micropython and C++. One feature of Microbit which umntil now has contraindicated working with sensors, actuators and physical computing is their attention to providing use for limited dexterity in children and the handicapped. This plug and play system of strapping sensor and actuator blocks opens these aspects of physical computing to children and less dexterous individuals.
