Vital test/debug/development tool
Brings all the connections out so you can use them without creating your own motherboard. Gotta have at least one in the lab if you are doing any Portenta development at all.

Difficult to find documentation.
I found many different pinout references, all different. When you download the API you can reference pins by name but again the naming convention is not consistent. Overall this is just a breakout board but it is very hard to figure out what pins the IO maps to.

Ok but
Really needs screw terminals. Arduino has a habit of making good stuff that you cant just connect a wire to. The flimsy Dupont pin connectors just arent durable.
