I need a looooooooot more practice
I tried the cheap $40 knockoff that you probably looked at. I gave it an honest go, filed the needle, sanded it smooth, cleaned out any flash from manufacturing and everything else people recommended. It was complete garbage. Going from that to this was such a change. Like going from driving an old school bus to a supercar. The cheap one sprayed paint and a bus will drive but its night and day different. The machining is really clean, it feels right when you hold on to it, though it takes practice. This isn't my first airbrush but its by far the nicest I've ever used. Most people seem to recommend you not start airbrushing with this but I think it's better. I still can't paint as well as I want to but at least I know it's a matter of gaining that experience rather than the equipment I am using getting in the way.If this is in your price range or you can be a little patient and wait to get this, do it. You will be much happier in the long run.

Great product, price and service from this seller.
I am very happy with this airbrush for fine-detailing on scale models. Please check the reviews of this model on Yout ube .com. I am MOST impressed with the service provided by SprayGunner, however. The user manual is in Japanese, so it's difficult to get information (same for all GSI Creos/Mr. Hobby) airbrushes. In cleaning, I lost a small part of the airbrush. However, a quick jump to the SprayGunner website showed all of the parts clearly labeled, and I was able to easily order the missing part. SprayGunner's online support/chat was very responsive on a Saturday afternoon! I ordered the part immediately. Terrific service.

The Last Airbrush I'll Ever Buy
Essentially, this airbrush is an Iwata Custom Micron. The only real difference is that you save yourself about $500. This is the Mercedes Benz of brushes and is better than the Harder & Steenbeck's that I've tried.
