We are not sure how well the adaptor works as we have not used it

Cheap and small. They work.

These worked fine for me, no issues, but one minor complaint. They fit the UK socket perfectly, no issues at all. But the US receptacle doesn't have a full length grip on the US plug. As you insert the US plug, you'll notice that the "grip" doesn't happen until nearly the entire plug is inserted. This didn't present a problem, per se, but, it was annoying because USB power adapters, with multiple USB cords plugged in, present a bit of weight and torque on the plug and as a result of the poor grip, the USB power adapter will easily fall out of this plug adapter on a wall outlet. If the plug grip was normal, like on a typical US wall outlet, then I'd give this item a 5-star rating. However, it did work for me.

I have not been away yet so have not used them. I am sure they will be fine!

These adapters are simple and functional to allow plugging in a US two or three prong plug into a UK outlet. Remember, this does not change the voltage! US is 110-120, the UK uses 240 volts so you must be sure to check your device can operate on 240 volts otherwise it will overload the device and potentially cause damage and/or personal injury. Apple branded adapters and many portable hair dryers can run on 100 - 240 volts so be sure to check this before use.
