I used it to cut tile, metal and wood and it did the job. It cut straight and the motor is very strong.

If you're a handyman (or handywoman) this saw should definitely be in your tool cabinet. It's so versatile for around the house projects and can cut in areas that no other saw can. I've got small hands and this thing is so much easier to hold on to and control than any other saw. But don't let its size fool you - it has more power than saw I've had that are 3 times its size. Also- it does tons of cool functions, like work as an edging saw, grinder for floor projects, and tile saw. This renewed one was significantly cheaper than a new one, and works like new. I'd definitely suggest adding one of these to your tool collection. The bag is also a great way to store the saw and all it's pieces in one central location. I don't regret this purchase one bit.

This is a great saw for quick-fix jobs. Easy to use.

Upon receiving this saw, I did not have anything that needed cutting but in about 5 days. I needed to cut approximately a 1/4 inch piece the length of about 16 inches off of the side a hardboard to fit a frame as the hardboard was a bit too large. I did not even need to attach a guide to the hardboard as the saw was so versatile and easy to handle. I merely drew the line and ran the saw down the line, making a perfect cut.I highly recommend the purchase of this product for small and quick results.

I did my homework before purchasing. I have several other competitors saws, all which have their place in my arsenal. This saw has a limited depth of cut, so it is not for heavy duty wood working. The blade assortment is fine, again for very small projects. I've already adapted a saw blade from another brand which cuts faster and will last a long time. If you are cutting paneling or thin plywood, this saw should do the trick for you. This saw was reconditioned, and when I took it out of the packaging it appeared as if it was new, all of the blades were new. The low cost is what attracted me, I have used the saw for 4 hours now and so far no issues.

A powerful and versatile saw in a compact package. Easy to use, good for a variety of applications. My saw came with blades for wood, metal and ceramic materials, all in a nice, zippered carry bag. Big savings buying a factory-"renewed" saw; don't hesitate as it works perfectly and comes with a warranty.

Refurbished just as good as new. Price was right, works like charm. Don't know why I didn't buy one of these years ago.

My experience with refurbished items have been all over the board so try to be cautiously selective. I own several Dremel products and have always found them to be of the highest quality. Unfortunately on this refurb they missed the mark. The functionality is typical Dremel, top shelf. The unfortunate part is the electric motor has a high pitched screeching noise. I have the same Dremel saw I bought new so have a good idea of how it should function. I am returning the unit.
