What an absolutely excellent, spot on piece of equipment. Not an issue at all. Highly recommend this and for the price you can't get better quality.

Really nice, not very big and doesn't heat large beakers to boil very well. But I love the magnet stirrer.

Was working great until one day it just turned off while working and would not turn back on. Could not find a fuse that could be replaced so I am sending it back.Edit - Labfish offered full refund and replacement stirrer. I am pleased with customer service and I do hope the next one holds up better.

This heating plate does not heat to the correct temperature. I compared it to another Fischer Brand plate I have. The Stony plate heats up very hot and very quickly, as if it doesn't have a working regulator. It cracked one of my borsilica glass beaker because of it. Be careful!

Takes forever to reach boiling. Otherwise, it works just fine.

Nice stir bars that work well. The larger bars obviously are better but they all work well and are good to run through the autoclave. Definitely would buy again.

This appears to be the same device being sold by other vendors as model 'SH-2' but with a slightly different appearance and promoted with a lot of paid or free product reviews. The picture on the manual even resembles those products more than what was in the box. I took a chance on it because the description clearly uses words like thermostat and temperature control, indicating the plate temperature is controlled even if there is no digital display, but I believe the heating knob only adjusts the power to the hot plate. The manual didn't mention a thermostat or temperature sensor and I could only see two wires connected to the plate: the heater wires. So the temperature control is just whatever temperature it can reach with the amount of power you give it.The quality seems decent, although the minimum spin speed was a little faster than I would have liked. There is an adjustment screw on the bottom to change the speed, but it only changes the maximum speed, not the minimum. I don't think it's a bad product or even a bad value compared to other listings, but it wasn't what was described (as I suspected it wouldn't be) so I took advantage of the free return.
