I’m impressed with this cover. It has a very good fit. Hard to install but in the month I have had it, it hasn’t moved. It’s quite protective but not too thick. I haven’t tried other brands but this one doesn’t give me a reason.

Bought this coat for my Nikon 180-600 lens when I took it for a safari trip. It worked well for protecting the lens against dust and moisture.Putting the lens coat does take sometime as it is a very tight fit but that's what makes it so good because it stays put and does not move around.'Highly recommended !

Got my RolanPro skin today. Despite some of the reviews from people who complained that they couldn’t install it, I found that it wasn’t all that difficult. The first two larger pieces were the most difficult. It just took patience and I had a secret weapon: nylon jawed pliers to grab the edges. The nylon jaws avoided scratching the lens and provided a better grip than just my fingers alone.I tried to match this to the covers already on my tripod. Of the five different patterns, I chose the #9 Grass and it’s a fairly close match. This is thinner than LensCoat skins but still protects the lens and I think gives better tactile feel. The edges are nicely finished and most of the pieces have the pattern right up to the edge. Once installed, I don’t foresee it slipping or moving. It doesn’t affect the movements of the zoom or focus rings. My only concern is that I can’t see the alignment marks to level the lens.What isn’t shown is the sleeve into which the foot is inserted. It completely encases the foot with a thin layer of cloth on the bottom that shouldn’t interfere with attaching a lens plate. It probably won’t work with replacement foot/collars such as the iShoot or Kirk.I originally bought a camouflage rain cover, but it was too hard to use the zoom ring and the cover obscured the camera controls. If you were considering this skin for your 180-600mm, I would recommend it. It’s a bit expensive, but should protect your lens from bumps and scratches without being too bulky or in the way.

I had to wrap grip tape or Coban around it to improve usability.• Slick inner liner: The interior lining is more slippery than grippy, which can cause some pieces—especially the one near the body/mount—to slide out of place more easily.⸻Conclusion:This product delivers quality and protection, but its slick materials may impact function during active use. With a few adjustments, like adding grip tape or omitting certain pieces, it performs well. Still, at this price, some users might expect more refined ergonomics.

ROLANPRO is unequalled in the quality,fit,function of their products.Take your time when fitting to your lens,the tight fit ensures years of protection with an occasional adjustment as necessary,and by adjustment I mean a simple tug to keep it in place,nothing major.This is my third product with 2 more pieces on order,a lens hood and window bean bag,can’t wait to receive them.This is not a rubber cover,which stretches and curls overtime,the edges are seamed as in sewn and reinforced,you cannot go wrong with anything ROLANPRO.

I love the protection these give my lens. I initially ordered a bulky carrying case, but realized that the coat is probably enough for how I work. The coat is attractive, and will definitely stay on.Putting them on the lens is a bit of a struggle. Be patient, spend the time slowly getting the coat on, and you'll be fine.

Relatively thin but it will definitely provide protection against bumps and bangs better than the bare lens itself. Smooth cloth exterior, rubbery interior, nice grip.The covers are certainly a tight fit as they need to be to function without slipping. It took about 10-minutes to install. I rolled the edge back to get some grip to help pull the covers on. One piece needed some help from a thin wooden pencil slipped behind to break the tension. Never did it feel like I was over stressing anything. Take your time and with a few breaks, it will eventually slide on with pulling. You have to carefully eye in the opening so use look as you pull and start over if needed.The segment have enough gap between them to allow zoom and manual focus to work smoothly.The price is high for what get but the lens was very expensive so what are you going to do?The thinness of this product provides good tactile feel. Thicker neoprene would not have worked for me.

Fits my Nikon Z 180-600 like a tight glove. Some parts were difficult to put on because it was so tight, but that is kind of the point. Provides enough protection without flapping and sliding around like the thicker neoprene ones do.
