I have one of these and liked it so much I bought this twin pack. These are so easy to program either via Bluetooth or manually. I have a couple boafengs and a Yeasu FT60R and the Tidradio is by far my favorite HT. With an aftermarket signal stick antenna it easily has enough power to hit a repeater 45 miles across the valley. So far no one can tell what HT I'm using. A couple people I've talked with complain the Tidradio is too big and heavy. It is larger and heavier than my boafengs but its about the same size and weight of the FT60R. The battery life is great. The screen is easy to see. For little speakers thr sound quality is good. This twin pack is a great value for the money.

First off I want to say how pleased I am with the professionalism of this seller. I originally had an issue with my radios where they would get hot to the touch; the seller quickly resolved the issue with me which I thought was amazing. Anyway, about the TD-H8: Its a great little HAM radio with some impressive functionality only seen in more expensive units. One cool feature is the ability to program it via Bluetooth. In addition to the Bluetooth, you can also program with CHIRP via a Kenwood cable The unit can be unlocked to become a HAM, a GMRS radio or both. It has good power and I had no problem reaching a repeater 12 miles away from me.

I have to brag on Tidradio is a great radio for the price. You could spend three or four times the amount I paid for this and still not get a better radio. Easy to use and dependable customer service is also great. They are willing to answer any questions or help assist in anyway. Will be buying my radios from them. Would also recommend the H3 is just a little smaller but a great radio. Keep up the good work looking forward to the new H3 plus coming out. Look for it soon.

TD-H8 is the best budget radio, crystal version looks so nice in person, very good quality build, very solid construction and has many practical features which really helpful for all users like bluetooth programming, programable sidekey funtion, sync dual display...Radio works really good with stock antenna, in city area it can communicates up to 3 miles with simplex, and i can hit all repeaters around my area over 15 to 50 miles away. Speaker sound clear and good. This radio should works like many much expensive radios should be. I'was able to unlock TIDRADIO SOFTWARE to have 220MHz band, yes TRI-BAND. Like it.

This has been a really good radio to keep in the truck. Easy to program and easy to use. Does everything I need it to do.

Wow,I'm not going to sugar coat it but here's the FACTS I loved my Gen1 Talkpod A36 Pluss it was a beast of a radio color screen Yada Yada so on ...I got it in crystal see through and as expected it was a flimsy clear case but looked amazing an as I said great radio capabilities for the cheap price I paid..NOW THE TIDRADIO TD-H8 Gen2Holy Smokes this radio out of the box that it was sent in was cleanly packed and brand new some radios I have purchased were clearly used and even scratched packed poorly so,My new TD-H8 crystal clear see through radio is built way sturdier and better then either of my motorola XTS5000 or my HT1250. When you Buy yours and hold it for the first time you'll see what I mean it feels better then $2500 worth of moto-radios...now as it went I unboxed it and put on the battery witch looked fully charged I front panel programed my "favorite" local gmrs repeater and called out a "CQ" it came back boomin audio strong signal into a local but far away repeater so then got the odmaster app on playstore then I 20sec I 1.linked Bluetooth 2.selected model "Tyra banks" 3.read radio and saved first read 4.programed by using location selected the repeaters I wanted and sent file from app in phone to my SUPER AWESOME CLEAR TIDRADIO TD-H8 GEN2 10W RADIO over Bluetooth flawlessly...that said if you pass up the opportunity to own one or two you will kick your self for the appropriate amount of time...Sadly I will mention 1 con And 1 suggestionFirst the con is I did notice that using a k-headProgram cable there was some damage to the case and I know I only see it is because of my case is clear on the black or green models you probably will not see it.Now the only suggestion is I would love to see a time display on screen. I believe you fixes all the amazing suggestions that your users sent in and thank you for that I am super happy with my purchase.

Then it never powered up again.
