Amazing!!!!!!
Can’t believe the difference this makes to my Audio-technica turntable, especially picture discs and coloured vinyl, back noise is virtually eliminated. The best thing I’ve bought in a long time!!!!

Excellent upgrade
I’ve had this acrylic platter mat for a few weeks now and I’m extremely impressed with it. I use it on my Rega P3 and was wondering if using acrylic over felt would make any difference. I’m pleased to state it definitely does. Now, I went for the green platter, which I think looks cool as it glows, giving my P3 a cool look. Vinyl and turntables are static magnets. Having used this acrylic platter for some weeks, it does reduce the amount of static, especially on cleaned records. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised at the improvement on sound reproduction the acrylic platter gives. It provides the disc with a flatter, more stable surface compared to the soft felt mats. Bass response is improved along with the soundstage. I’ve seen acrylic platters like this costing£100’s. This is a bargain upgrade that will elevate your vinyl listening experience. Highly recommended

Looks great.
This record mat looks amazing, it actually looks like it's illuminated. I keep thinking I have left my record player switched on. Soundwise , to my ears there was a slight noticable difference. I played Massive Attack's 'Angel' on my Technics SL 1200 GR, first with the stock rubber mat, then with the Takmork, I thought the bass seemed slightly thumpier on the Takmork mat, and the clarity overall was improved slightly. I have given this 4 stars, as the item arrived covered in fingerprints and dust and dirt, plus has a small scratch. Quality control could be improved. The edges could be slightly rounded, but they're not a problem. Ideally this mat needs to be around 4-5 mm smaller in diamater, as its the exact same size as a 12" record, which can make it slightly tricky when removing the record, as you run the risk of lifting the matt too. These are only minor nigles that could easily be improved. Not a perfect fit on a Technics SL 1200, but still works fine, and looks amazing.

Quality Item.
It fits neatly, lightweight, works good and definitely will add to the look of your turntable. It comes wrapped in brown paper that you have to peel off. This can be tricky to peel but once you get going, it gets easier.

Who needs records anyway?
I was slightly sceptical about this and worried which colour would look ok, if any. No need - it's ace! The sound might have improved a little, or maybe that's just a bit of confirmation bias. Whatever - it still sounds great. Drop a record on the mat and it's a little skittish for half a second compared to the soft landing of a felt mat, but then it's perfectly settled and secure. And static is gone! I played a record the night before and it was so charged it lifted the felt mat clean off the platter. Not with this. No sparks at my finger tips either! And you don't even have to play a record. In fact, not playing a record is the most impressive part. It looks sooooooo cool just sitting there "glowing" with nothing else on top.

Looks Great
Have this on my Fluance Turntable.I got it in pink but as the platter is black, it looked orange. So I placed a white piece of thin card, carefully cut to LP size, on the platter then placed the acrylic mat on top of the card... wow, it turned bright pink. The card doesn't appear to make any difference to the sound, so win win.As for the mat improving the quality of sound and reducing crackles, I'm not convinced... but I'm no expert. But, it looks great, it appears to have a constant glow, like it's plugged into the mains.. obviously it's not. It's a great addition to your turntable whether for the alleged improvement of sound or just the fact it looks great, £20 you can't go wrong.
