A very good product at a good price and quick delivery

Seems to work well and should be safer for kids rather those 4 in 1 solutions full of chemicals. Just be warned about the smell which basically smells like manure even when sealed int he bag so you do not want to store somewhere you do not want to smell. These bags are left outside! That said I couldn’t smell it once used on lawn.

I’ve bought this many times over the years as I like the fact that it is both pet and child safe rather than simply being full of harmful chemicals. As it’s a bit more ‘natural’ it does have a bit more smell to it but that clears quickly and it’s not one of these extreme green fertilisers that work in a few days. This will take a couple of weeks but you get lovely green health grass. I use a hand spreader which is nice quick and easy and the large sack is great value for money. The only thing I have noticed through is that it no longer seems to have grass seed mixed through it which earlier versions used to. This is a bit of a shame as I like the inclusion for a little overseeding.

I do a little bit to look after the lawn and two or three times a year would use a feed, weed and moss killer. Doing it this way I definitely got rid of the weeds and moss but ALSO I would end up killing the grass as well with loads of brown patches where I'd burn the lawn, sure this was down to me using too much product.Saw that this SafeLawn was safe for pets and kids and seems to be less harsh than the 4 in 1 types so gave it a go. From what I gather it's pretty much fine granulated chicken manure with some grass seed. I used a handheld spreader and along with the product I also threw in a cup more grass seed to help thicken up the lawn. After spreading it rained heavily for 2 or 3 days and then showers everyday for a week so it would have got a good soaking. After 10 days/two weeks I could see the grass getting very green and thick. Left it for 3 weeks before mowing to try and give the seed time to germinate and the lawn looks the best it has ever looked. Will give another application when the weather forecasts rain.Some reviewers have said it didn't get rid of the weeds or moss. This is not a weed or moss killer. It helps grass to grow thick and strong to STOP any future weeds or moss getting a hold on your lawn. If you have a heavily infested lawn then this is not the product for you. If like me you have a pretty weed and moss free, but tired looking lawn with a few brown patches, this will help bring it back to life, I got the 14kg for £19.95 which seems good value compared to alternatives. Would really recommend throwing in some extra grass seed to help over seed the lawn as there's not too much grass seed in the product.

I usually use the original aftercut but sometimes this can scorch the grass if it doesn’t rain, meaning watering can be needed. However this looked to be a good alternative as it is environmentally friendly, pet friendly and isn’t supposed to scorch the grass.I had a small amount of original left so used that up 1st and then used the new one. The results were so different. The grass treated with the original aftercut is thick and dark green. The grass treated with this version is patchy and not really any different in colour.Great idea but I won’t be buying again.

I've used Westland SafeLawn for several years now and have been very pleased with the results.The seller (FurryPet) despatched the package very promptly, but I was not happy with the courier (Evri), who left it without any explanation outside a house 200 yards down the road, despite my having several much nearer neighbours, that neighbour being out, and my having left clear instructions what to do if I was out. It was a very heavy package and I am 81 years old so it was not possible for me and not fair on my (only slightly) younger neighbour to have to move it to my house.
