A great knife with a few quibbles
I personally really like this knife.-The knife is a good length for most of the fish I clean, though it is a little small for a large or particularly thick bodied fish (California Sheepshead for example).-The blade is stiffer than on most fillet knives, which is a good thing in my book. I have had a tendency to warp knives in the past, this I think will last a long time.-The handle fits my hand very well and does not slip even when covered in fish slime.-The blade is very sharp, and holds an edge well. It also takes an edge nicely.Issues-The string is just an unecessary addition that soaks up blood, slime and nasty in my view. Makes it hard to feel like the knife is ever "clean".-The sheath would be useless to attach to a belt, but I always have it in my dive bag or backpack anyways so it does its job.Overall I am quite pleased with it. Out of the Silver Creek set this is my favorite and most used by far.

Arrived sharp and ready to use. So far edge holding well. But hey! It's a Buck! What else would you expect?

Pretty good knife
This is a very well-made filet knife with the right amount of blade flex and very sharp out of the box. The plastic sheath is also ideal for use around water. Why for stars? As someone who's carried a Buck 110 for decades, I am saddened by a Buck knife coming out of China.

Not just for fish!
My husband uses this knife to dress rabbits. He loves how ergonomic the handle is and how sharp the blade stays.I have used it too and love it as well. Does the job - clean and fast.
