Q: Can they be used on the ruixin pro?

Sort answer: Without modifying them, No... Longer answer: These are steel plates. In order to attach them to the Ruxin Pro setup, either the plates would need to be modified by using an adhesive to apply a backing plate that attaches to the Ruxin Pro mount... or, modify the Ruxin Pro to accept the steel plates somehow.

Q: Are these large enough to sharpen a plane blade?

Hi Travis, these will sharpen a plane blade but they are a little small for that task. We do have the "Ultra Sharp Diamond Sharpening Stone Set - 8 x 3 Coarse/Medium/Extra Fine" that are better suited to plane blades. The are 8" x 3" and are available in single grits and various 2 and 3 stone kits. The 3 Stone Kit is Amazon ASIN number B01FPP46W2.

Q: Is lubrication required?

It is recommended to use lubrication whenever sharpening any blade. That said, these are diamond stone, and will still function adequately without it

They are the same stones except for the size. These stones are 6 x 2 inches. The other set you are referring to are 8 x 3 inches.

If anyone is seriously into sharpening of knives and carpenter tools, then you should go for the 8x3 size.
