Just SpicesTandoori Masala Seasoning Blend, 2.19 OZ | Great for curries, chicken skewers, or any dish in needs of an Indian twist!

This spice brand is not one of my familiar brands I have used in the past and I was reasonably nervous, but it didn’t disappoint. It really opened my horizon to trying out small business products.The package was nice and sturdy, no leaks or spills. Ingredients, nutrients all listed in the back.We are an ethnic household and we go through a lot of spices of different kinds. While I can't swear by its 100% authenticity since it's powered, any mixup is not identifiable but the fragrant powder tells a tale. From the color of the spice and aroma it appears to be authentic tandoori spice powder as suggested by their name.The spice blend is outright excellent, very aromatic and has a strong flavor of tandoori masala. Good on both barbecue and regular dishes. From the price point, they do come out to be a little price but the quality does a justice to the price. If you carefully read the ingredients you will see there is not a ton of salt or additives added. So little goes a long way. The feature I love most about their product is they each smell, taste completely unique and exactly the flavor advertised and feels very authentic.I will definitely buy more of these spice blends in the future.

Used very little not really sure

This Tandoori Masala seasoning is fresh and fragrant. The little tin has a plastic lid and an aluminum seal to preserve the freshness. I suggest using this as a dry rub rather than any kind of sauce seasoning as it is rather light tasting when diluted. You need to use quite a bit at once and it uses up quick. I made some chicken curry with coconut milk and the taste was kind of bland even with three big spoonfuls (about 1/5th of the container), with a peanuty coconut flavor. It's similar to yellow Thai curry in taste, but without the salty umami of shrimp paste. I had to adjust with more salt and some chicken bouillon powder for taste. I added another spoonful to see if it will make the curry more yellow, but I think the turmeric content isn't enough. Overall, decent tasting Masala seasoning for dry rubs with a bit of oil as binder.

This arrived in perfect condition, and had a tight aluminum seal. This is a good size to try out different flavors without having to make a ton of commitment in mixing your own blends with larger containers from your local warehouse store. My only caveats about the container is, it doesn't really have an option to sprinkle the seasoning over items. It's pretty much an open cardboard container, with a plastic top, so I worry about its shelf life and stability in holding its flavor as it's not exactly a tight seal. Because of this, I plan on transferring it into a glass shaker bottle I have in my pantry, with a little bit more air tightness to help keep it fresh.As for the seasoning blend itself goes, the Tandori Masala scent reminds me of this curry chicken my mom makes once in a while and I'm definitely here for it. I actually have sprinkled it on some eggs while it was pan frying, and again on top of rice. Since it has a considerable amount of salt in one serving, I omitted that and it was at the right level for me. Overall, this is more mild than I expected, but I definitely got the notes of creamy coconut curry and can't wait to try it on other foods, and bake it into breads!

My wife combined this spice with four others in her own Indian-inspired concoction, and the result was a mouthwatering butter chicken cooked to perfection in the crockpot. She first browned the chicken and veggies in a skillet before adding them to the mix. The dish turned out to be absolutely fabulous! Despite using just two tablespoons of butter and a cup of low-fat yogurt for the entire crockpot, it boasted a creamy texture and a delightful blend of zesty and savory flavors, without being overly spicy. We're so impressed with this spice blend—it's become one of our favorite meals! I can't wait for our dinner guests next week to experience this delicious recipe firsthand, all thanks to my wife's culinary skills and this amazing spice blend.

I used this in some lentils as the star flavoring. Only other flavoring was a can of unflavored tomatoes, and vegetable broth (salted). Added a few vegetables for a complete meal.They came out so delicious!I did about 1.5 tbsp of this spice for my 1 cup of lentils and 3 cups broth.High quality spice.

This is a 62 gram container of Just Spices Tandoori Masala seasoning blend. It is essentially a curry powder type seasoning. When you open the container you see the typical curry powder color thanks to the turmeric. The seasoning smells wonderful, and tastes very good, with a nice blend of cardamom, cumin, garlic, coriander, ginger, and chili. This is a perfect blend for any dish where you would use curry powder. The one thing that is sort of an issue is that this seasoning blend contains salt, which I have never seen in a curry-type powder before. While not a huge problem, you do have to be careful with this. I prefer seasonings without salt just because a dish may already have enough salt but need more seasoning. All in all, this is an enjoyable blend that is great anywhere you'd use curry powder, as long as you keep an eye on the salt level.

A 2.19 oz can came in the package. Made of turmeric, cardamom, sea salt, cumin, ginger, garlic, coriander and chili pepper. Upon opening the can you can get a very strong whiff of curry. Smells fantastic. Can be used for seasoning meats, making dips for dosai or adding to your dishes. I prepared my curry with this and, wow, am impressed how it turned out. The curry taste was very authentic. Strong and robust flavor. It had a little spice kick. Very fragrant.Overall, I like this can of masala powder. Very authentic Indian masala taste and nice and robust curry flavor. Will recommend.
