I've been using this on my lawnmowers for years, both push and ride-on types. The engine all run perfectly.I use this stabiliser as these engines don't use oil filters and as a result they'll have a lot of soot suspended in the oil.. I'm hoping this stabiliser will prevent any or this crudding up the piston rings which will ultimately kill the engine. So far so good.One 300ml bottle does about 5 oil changes on the mowers, about 60ml added to each oil change.. They usually take a total of 500ml oil in total. A cheap insurance policy.

I've used this twice now. Many years ago with 1970/80s cars I always used oil addatives, more meanigfull back then. However at the current price point I thought I would give this a try. I've used on an old Mini and VW Up on both occasions it has seemed to make the engine run smoother and quieter, especially the Up. Its my sons car and he has noticed the difference also. So for the price I would 100% recommend at the next service. Can't go wrong really.

The original STP oil treatment additive in the blue bottle was like treacle. Really thick and gooey. You could tell instantly that it was working, because it was so thick and gloopy that the second you poured it in an old engine, that engine would stop clattering and rattling, and would stop burning oil.It's not the case with this new additive for modern engines and synthetic oils. It claims to reduce wear and aid in engine cleanliness, but because of the nature of its effects, and the fact its viscosity is barely above that of the lightweight motor oils used in the sensitive engines it's designed to work with, we only have STP's word that it does what it's supposed to. It doesn't provide any visible or audible effects, so you've no idea what it's doing. Of course, given that STP gas treatment has always cleaned out my other cars' carburettors, and that their original oil treatment does indeed reduce their elderly engines' noise and oil-burning, I have no reason to doubt that this new additive will "do what it says on the tin", to quote a famous advert from yesteryear. The only problem is that it will be years before I see the benefits. Fortunately, this stuff isn't very expensive, especially when compared to a couple of gallons of oil imported from America, so I'm not losing much by putting it in my modern car for a bit of piece of mind. As it's an American car, its oil-change intervals are much, much shorter than the European and Asian cars on our roads - so I'm hoping that by fortifying my oil with this additive, it will help out, mitigating any negative effects if I accidentally go 6000 miles instead of 3000 between changes.
