I have a Baxi Duotec 24 Combi ERP ..will this fit ? Does the boiler require draining to fit it ? Can it be done DIY

I have a friend (gas safe ) who fit this thermistor for me . It was a 10 minute task and boiler did not need draining as the thermistor fits in a pocket . As for whether it could be done as a diy job I would say probably yes for someone with good E/I knowledge. May friend did advise the task to be under taken by gas safe engineer to comply with all regs etc.

Does this product need a washer/gasket? If so, which one?

Hi, If you buy a Genuine one you will need a washer as Baxi supply them as separate items. The Baxi Part Number for the washer is 248069, It used to be a fibre washer but they now sell a copper washer. If you buy a compatible one it will come with either a fibre washer or an O'Ring. It does need a seal, but it can be a fibre / copper washer or an O'Ring, though engineers I know tend to use PTFE tape to make the seal Steven
