TKL 4630 Traditional Electric Guitar Gigbag

I've used TKL bags for years. The reason is simple. Quality and affordability. I have guitars that came with hard shell cases but I always buy a bag to use for gigs. This bag comes with heavy duty zippers that last. This bag is well padded for transporting your guitar from your house to your vehicle, and from your vehicle to your gig. That's it. It's a light duty, universal electric guitar gig bag. Fits my guitar well. Not too tight or loose.At $40, I'd buy one again. Cheers!

This is a wonderful gig bag. It fits my 1990's Danelectro convertible perfectly. I've had this gig bag for years and it still looks brand new. Even the tags still look new! The gig bag is light weight, has great straps to carry when needed, and is padded well to protect my guitar. Love it!

This bag is thicker than others at this price point. However, it was too tight around the body of my Ibanez RG - so tight, in fact, that it was difficult to zip completely. The storage pocket is only adequate for picks, strings, an sheet music. If you want to store cables or a strap, you're out of luck. I returned it.

I just bought this for an SG copy I own, and the bag is a bit too small. The guitar barely fits in it, and I had a hard time zipping it shut at the top. There is effectively no padding between the top of the headstock and the top of the bag. All the info I read about this says that it is designed for a strat style solid body guitar. I don't own a strat, so I can't say whether the fit is better for a strat or not. I'm guessing this bag will work well for guitars that use a 24 3/4 inch scale. The SG and Les Pauls all have 25 1/2 inch scale, and that extra 3/4 inch makes a big difference with this bag. Since there were no product dimensions listed on the TKL web site, I had no way of knowing whether this was going to be too small for an SG. Knowing what I know now I would not have purchased this bag for my SG.That being said, the bag is really well made and has an internal strap near the top of the neck to secure the guitar inside when being transported. That's a nice touch. If the size of your guitar is smaller, then this bag will be an excellent choice for your guitar.
