If the valve were pulled open and held below the level of the bag would the water pour out? Or does it require suction?

When I clean the bag, I open the valve let the hose hang below the bag ,the hose needs to be below where it connects onto the bag and give bag a little squeeze and let gravity do the rest. . So yes, if the valve were open below where it connects onto the bag it will run flow. So just remember to push in, turn valve close, and put cover back on.
