Excellent sound and audio control!
I got this to replace a 3.1 atmos bar from Sony that had no dialog/center channel control. Amazed at the audio difference! VERY clear dialog! Treble and base controls really helped too. I also got the Bose 500 subwoofer too just to hit all the desired marks.I did run into one setup issue where I initially only got TV audio....nothing on streaming or Blu-ray......BUT that appeared to be that it needed powered off and back on after it performed/finished an update over wifi. Been rock solid on multiple tests since. The audio difference between this and the old soundbar was nothing short of epic though! Nice to not have to struggle with dialog anymore. Highly recommended!

Bose… Does not disappoint
After more than 10 years, my Bose sound bar stopped working about three or four weeks ago. I was in the market for a replacement. I spent time researching options. I ultimately decided on the Bose smart Dolby Atmos sound bar Bluetooth sound bar speaker. I found a good deal on pricing via Amazon. The sound bar arrived a couple days after I ordered it. It was simple to set up and the sound quality is what you expect from Bose.

Crapped out after only six months.
After six months it crapped out on me. It began by dropping the first few seconds of a song. Then it would drop a couple seconds here and there. Then when a new song came up it stopped working altogether. Restarted laptop, got the blip sound to notify it was connected...no sound. Disconnected an reconnected...no sound. Tried every trick I knew...no sound. No sound from media player, from internet, nothing. What's more, I replaced it with little laptop speakers, which actually sound better. In my opinion this item is a $500 piece of junk.

You can trust Bose to deliver quality every time.
Great Soundbar 👍 for those people who are considering buying one. Bose reputation for high-end products that perform as advertised. Quality is very good 👍. 📺 TV speakers 🔊 are minimal at best and sound terrible. After receiving and setup my decision was the best one. Bluetooth setup was definitely a pain but succed I did. Wow what a difference it made listening to dialog with clarity 👏. I would recommend it to a friend.

Amazing sound, kinda bummed about volume control
This sound bar sounds fantastic. Definitely happy with the purchase. There is one thing that disappointed me a bit though… when using an HDMI cable, you can control the volume on the sound bar with the TV remote instead of having to use the included Bose remote.Unfortunately, when trying to take advantage of this feature, there is quite a bit of lag. When trying to turn up the volume, you’ll hit the button once or twice and nothing will happen. Then all of a sudden your volume goes from a quarter of the way up to almost full blast. And it’s just as wacky trying to get the volume turned back down again. I have a Sony Bravia TV that’s only about a year and a half old so I doubt that is the issue and I tried multiple brand new cables to make sure that that wasn’t causing it. I think it’s just the time that it takes the sound bar to respond to the TV input.Like I said, it is a bummer but the sound quality is amazing. I just switched to an optical audio cable and am dealing with having multiple remotes. If I knew of another product that was actually responsive with the regular TV remote, I would probably return this and go that route, but I don’t want to be buying and returning sound bars for the rest of my life. I’m blessed to have a problem as small as using two remotes instead of one.

Depite the Miserable Setup Experience, it's a Really Nice Soundba
The enclosed instruction manual is a monstrous 2 pages long -- mostly figures telling you to Plug it in and download the Bose App on your Smart Phone. First, I consider myself tech savvy, but was thwarted immediately following setting up both WiFi and Bluetooth. I downloaded the 'real' instruction manual and attempted to follow the Troubleshooting advice therein. In short, the setup process totally stalled during the App's attempt to download the soundbar's data update. On Day One I gave up after 2 hours and decided to try again the next day.On Day Two, I decided I should slow down and start all over, thinking I missed something on Day One. After another hour, I did what I should have done after wasting only 30 minutes on Day One...I CALLED BOSE.I won't try to explain the convoluted steps that I was instructed to perform, but they worked. It took the Bose Rep 15 minutes to get the soundbar MOSTLY working. The rep told me that the data download would take 30-40 minutes!!! No where do the instructions tell you this download would take that long, Anyway, that sounded crazy to me, but OK. I thanked him and hung up.After two hours the data download was still 'downloading.' Time to call Bose again. A different rep walked me through and EVEN MORE convoluted process required to download the update. Rep #2 was great. He remained on the line during the download, during which he walked me through some detailed nuances of the Bose App in which he fine tuned the device. By the end of our 30 minute conversation, I was totally setup. In the end, I love the quality sound coming from my Smart Soundbar.Good luck and, if at first you don't succeed (in setting up your Smart Soundbar), STOP and call Bose for help.
