You cannot beat the price per mg of this magnesium. I have used other brands before, ReMag (all kinds of magnesium), Doctor's Best (glycinate) and they do absorb really well. In comparison, this magnesium oxide has much lower absorption, so those 400 mg will absorb maybe just 10%. Higher doses may cause digestive issues. What I love about this brand is that it is made in the US (I always want to support American products) and it's tested and vegan. If you don't have major magnesium deficiencies, this will work great for you, and the price is good. If you are really aching in your body, joints, cramping muscles, don't sleep well, etc, I would think that glycinate would work better as you can safely take higher does than 400 mg.

It's early yet, but I can already tell a positive difference in how I feel after only a short time. I like that it has a few different types of magnesium in it and that it has D3 and zinc to make it even more effective. This took longer than I expected to arrive, but it wasn't a very long wait. I am satisfied with this product.
