8 Fans Wading Boots for Men&Women Anti-Slip Rubber Sole with Rotating buckle Lacing System for Fishing

My experience with the 8 Fans wading boot after using 6 times is mixed. Starting with sizing: I ordered the same size as my regular shoes and while the length was fine the width was too wide even given wearing with standard neopreme stocking foot waders. I have tried them with the heaviest socks I can find and they are still too wide. I do not have narrow feet and have no problem with normal width shoes and have not had similar problems with other brand boots. While the BOA lacing gives you the opportunity to tighten well, these boots are so wide I cannot cinch them tight enough even with the BOA. I am very familiar with the BOA system having previously used Korkers boots for years. This inability to tighten well leaves my feet sloppy in the boots leaving the feeling of uncomfortable instability. The sole: the material is typical of all non-felt boots: they are slippery and I expected them to be. In other rubber sole boots I have screwed in small cleats to provide assistance. I tried the same with these, installing only on the outer edge to prevent the screw puncturing the sole. That part worked fine, but the sole material is soft enough ( I applaud their attempt to make this a positive) that the give of the rubber just let the screw in cleats work their way out on the initial use. Too soft, if you can imagine that. Overall, the make and finish seems good although I prefer a stiffer boot with more support for my aging ankles. I did like the light weight but maybe too light for me. Given these experiences I will continue my search for a similarly priced boot, given I can no longer afford the name brand, high end boots on the market. Just not for me but may work for you.Updated 9/9/24After being contacted by the seller to discuss my reservations and getting as much info as possible they indicated they would see if any improvements could be made. After sharing several messages between us regarding how we could help each other, I suggested that a boot with laces instead of BOA could help me in tightness and stability and one with a different rubber sole pattern would be beneficial to improved my cleat implementation. They sent me their model boot with those features and they are absolutely GREAT. As good or better than any boot I have ever owned and more economical. Between their work with me and the quality of their boots, this is a fantastic company with a true desire to have a great product and happy customers. The best seller experience I have ever had on Amazon and I am a very frequent shopper. Kudos to them deserving the ***** rating.

Good boot for the money. Got it for the BOA feature. Easy on, easy off. Soles can be slippery in some situations.

This rating is for the first impression of the boots. I have not used them while fishing. Yet.I wear a size 13-14 shoe (48 euro). The only boot that has fit me to this point is Korkers in a 15. Great boots but eventually all things wear out. Since these were on sale I decided to take a chance on the size 14 based on other reviews. They are a great fit. Plenty of room to get my big feet in wader socks in comfortably and have toe wiggle room. They are also very light. They use a BOA "style" lacing system which is a must for me and my arthritis. It is smooth but since it is a knock off, we will have to wait and see if it holds up.The only negative that I have is that they do not ship in a box. Normally I'd take this as a positive step, but one of the boots got a "bend" in it and would not stand up straight. This is a problem for me as my body stiffness makes it difficult to bend over and guide my foot in. I put a bottle in the boot overnight and that straightened out enough for me to get my foot in without too much trouble. They can easily fix this by using a stiff cardboard tube instead of wadded paper.I will post again after using them in the field.

Not a good boot after only 5 or 6 trips shoe started to feel so uncomfortable and very hurtful to walk in.

Must buy! They're true to size, great material, and the ease of the quick tie/release system is unmatched. For the price you can't go wrong. Worked absolutely amazing for me. Cant wait to get them out more this season.

These run really big, especially for women. To try different sizes to find the perfect fit. I actually wasn't able to use them, however they were very high quality. They have grommets on the side to drain water out of them.

We purchased these boots for fly fishing and they did not disappoint. They are a little blocky but overall great purchase when you do not want to spend as much money as some similar products cost.

I wear a 9 1/2 shoe and order a size 10 (US). If you're going to wear a wader then order one size larger. Bought mine in a 10 and it fits well. You can't wear them with regular sox. You'll have to order, for me I would order a size 8 to 8 1/2. Hope that helps.But these are the best for your dollars. Must BUY!!!
