I have another set of the exact same tweeters with different name.. but 1/2 cost. These are produced by the same manufacturer, but branded. If you want DS tweeters, buy them. I bought a separate x-over to get rid of a high frequency hissing that was coming from the amp, they only come with a single inline capacitor.

The sound on these are awesome if u like high pitch tweets, DS18s are my go to for tweeters the biggest complaint I have about them is there placement for the + & - it’s just annoying running a cord to two different sides when they could just make them next to each other, also the bass blocker is just on there not really supported and in an awkward spot when it comes to putting a connector on

I initially brought these to use one to replace the center dash from a mid-range to this.. But upon installation, I found that the depth was no where near enough to support this tweeter! So I was gonna sell both, instead of just the one. And inner spirit just said, 'test it, and you will see'.. And gosh darn it! The difference this thing made was unbelievable! Long story short, I'm keeping both! I found a space to mount them on my amp rack, and I can't stop banging my system! I have them connected to a crossover that's already powering my 1 inch tweeters in my front doors. They brought out my whole system! And they are taking the power I give em with ease! They are pretty big as the magnets are just as big as the front. But if you can find a spot for them, GET THEM! And you'll be impressed.

First...these tweeters sound awesome only if 1 was to wire it and tune/gained properly and if so they wouldnt be disappointed.2nd...I'm not the complaining type usually just go with the flow and let life work out its problems for me,but in this instance I had to, due to a little aggravation.Also somewhat confused.In my pics your going to see my new set of tweeters (because last pair,1 of them just all of a sudden quit working....only after 3 months PROPERLY INSTALLED) which I bought thinking .."ok..these have to be better just 1 is rated at 200 RMS which is what I read and you can see in 1 of my pics is true but in the other pic what I received (which came pretty quickly) and stamped on back it shows only rated at 120RMS.My point of this review is to let others know what to expect when you purchase these tweeters

When I initially installed these speakers, they sounded great. They were easy to install and the clarity was amazing. I don't know how long they lasted, but they stopped working within a couple of months. Both of them. I noticed something was off with the sound in my vehicle and when pinpointed what was wrong, I found that they had stopped working. It seems to be a common problem with ds18. They sound great while they last but then they just die out of nowhere. I've been using some cheap Walmart tweeters ever since. They don't have the same clarity but they've been working for a long time without fail. I've been scared to try any other ds18 products now that 2 of my door speakers have also failed.
