The Day the Earth Blew Up - A Looney Tunes Movie

A visual treat for the whole family
The fact another company had to release this FOR Warner Bros shows just how far they've fallen. Looney Tunes is a staple of the company and yet they're treated with virtually no love. Shameful.Anyway, movie itself is fantastic. Beautifully animated and a return to form for Looney Tunes. The plot itself is simple, meant to evoke a 50's b-movie but in its simplicity it allows the animation and characters to carry it. In a world full of cocomelon and youtube Ai brain rot slop, I'm happy that this movie exists. Porky, Daffy, and Petunia are great but my favorite characters are Farmer Jim (how hes basically never animated) and The Invader/Alien.My niece and nephew loved it, I loved it, I just wish a 4k blu ray option was available but I'll take it.

Wonderful. Absolutely Wonderful!
This is one of the best movies I've seen in the past three years. The animation was impossibly smooth and had so much charm. Nothing will ever top hand drawn pictures. The background and character designs were immensely pleasing to look at. The jokes were very funny, and even though the emotional moments get a little serious, this film never disregards the comedy element. The emotional resolution was sweet. Porky and Daffy have such awesome potential as a comedic duo. Daffy's not as malicious here as he is in most modern incarnations of Looney Tunes. He's more zany and scatterbrained, but despite his flaws, he clearly has a heart. Porky also had a slightly different personality than you might expect, acting a bit more headstrong and conniving, and ever so slightly antagonistic. I loved Petunia Pig. She added a lot to the story with her dorky yet down to earth personality. All in all, this film was great. Very glad to have seen it in theaters.

Amazing movie
Absolutely amazing film! A feast for the eyes with a fun (and funny!) story with clever twists and more than a few tongue-in-cheek jokes aimed at WB.

Spare yourself!
Incomparably stupid and boring. Not one member of our family laughed once in 90 painful minutes.

The stupidest and most boring animated movie I've ever seen
I tried to give this one star, but the system wouldn't let me give anything lower than two stars, perhaps because I didn't buy the DVD -- I saw this in a motion picture theater. This was the stupidest and most boring animated movie I've ever seen. Daffy and Porky are supposed to be brothers? step-brothers? gay lovers? Hard to say, but it's damn weird. There's something creepy about the insistent drumbeat of "just stay together and everything will be alright." Lots of hugging but no kissing, at least, although we see quite a bit of Daffy's butt crack (the back of his feathers get pulled down like a pair of pants), and at one point Daffy lays eggs. Talk about deliberately inducing gender confusion in children! But in addition to the weird gender-bender stuff, the gags are stale, the storyline is just plain stupid, and the whole movie was incredibly boring. I have always been a huge Loony Tunes fan, and this movie was like a slap in the face. If this is the future of Loony Tunes, then all I can say is "Rest in Peace."

Great Looney Tunes Movie
If you like looney Tunes you’ll enjoy this. It’s also the first full length Looney Tunes movie with all original animation. It’s not perfect, but you can count the instances of cringey modern humor on one hand. The good definitely outweighs the bad. I genuinely laughed at it way more than I thought. It’s fun, silly, has lots of heart, and dare I say.. Looney. Most love the franchise has gotten in years and the only thing that held it back was the nonexistent advertising. But thankfully it spread through word of mouth thanks to animation nerds. Now thanks to the distributor(Ketchup) we’re getting Coyote vs Acme! Buy this is you want a fun movie and a physical important piece of Looney Tunes history and show WB that love for these characters still exists.

"And me? Well, I'm just plain Looney."
If you are a Looney Tunes fan, chances are, even with you reading this, you may have already seen this genuinely funny modern masterclass of 2D animation.Eric Bauza shines as both Porky and Daffy. Between Porky's classic stutter, and Daffy's hysterical woo-hoo's, Eric's performance is flawless. Candi Milo does a great job as Petunia, nailing the positive nerdy side of her character. Peter MacNichol fits very well in this looney world with his role as The Invader. I'd be remiss to not mention Fred Tatasciore as Farmer Jim, stealing every scene he's in.The story is a fairly simple one, but as complex as life is these days, we need movies like this. Daffy and Porky need to fix a hole in their roof, mayhem ensues with them trying to find a job. They uncover an alien invasion plot. You get the idea. The humor in this is top-notch. Lots of jokes for the kids, and some for the adults too. I dare not spoil any of it here.Did yall know Porky Pig is 90 years old right now? I'm sure when this movie began production, they knew it was because it'd be a great birthday present for the pig. It really shows, as you can see the love and care poured into every frame from start to finish. Bob Clampett, Robert McKimson, Tex Avery and all the old animators of Termite Terrace are looking down on the folks that made this and smiling from ear to ear. The animators really did their work to make this look like the like good ol' fashioned Looney Tunes shorts of the 40's and 50's.As you're reading this, if this is still in theatres, by all means, GO SEE IT IN THEATRES! After that, THEN order this bluray! This absolutely deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible!
