Ortho Molecular Products D-Hist JR Tablets, 60 Count

My 2 year old has eczema and is allergic to most tree nuts and possibly cats. I heard about stinging nettle for asthma, but this product has been amazing for us!We are working with an allergist to desensitize our toddler to the tree nuts (feeing him small, consistent doses of certain nuts that she says are OK so that his body gets use to them). Because of this he has occasional reactions. I love being able to offer him a natural product instead of Benadryl and he much prefers the taste of this chew tab.I tend to use it when he has a mild reaction (I still keep Benadryl and his epi-pen on hand at all times), though his naturopathic doctor said I can give it 1-2 daily for maintenance. When we use it that way it does seem to help his eczema somewhat.When we’re dealing with a mild reaction this product is a lot more effective than I would have expected—comparable to Benadryl.I’ve already recommended (or the adult version) it to family members with allergies. So glad we found it!

Word can't say enough for this product. I bought this for my daughter 4, because she was suffering from extreme asthma and allergies. I really can't say enough about them. WOW. I ordered them in a rush and sent them with my daughter to my mothers house a couple hours away without trying them out first. I had researched them well, and had little doubt in any kind of reaction. When my daughter came home 4 days later she was a whole new child. She felt and looked so much healthier. My mom had taken her to give my husband and I an emotional break from the trying to cope with her being constantly sick and us alone for the past 3 weeks, which to most people sounds normal but for us was a big strain because we usually have a lot of family support. Our poor child went from seemingly healthy to needing breathing treatments on the nebulizer every 6 hours and prednisone in less than 4 days. Worse none of it helped. We went through the whole pharmacy of allergy meds to try to help our poor daughter all of them having horrid psychological effects on her. We even broke down and tried Singulair which we swore we would never do. We were at the doctors at least twice a week, the poor Pedi was a wreck trying to figure out what to do next for my poor child. I'm so glad I stumbled across this. It definetly changed my childs life.On another note, a week after starting my daughter on this I had a major allergic reaction to an antibiotic. I had massive welt/blister hives covering parts of my body. Bad enough I was put on Prednisone and antihistamines. Normal treatment for normal people, me on the other hand... I have bad reactions to most antihistamines and when mixed with my current medications cause for great alarm. If I were to take the meds prescribed I would have needed daily EKG's to monitor my heart until the hives resolved. Feeling unsure about going through daily EKG's (I just don't have time for that) I grabbed 3 of the D-hist JR as I've read you can take 3 tabs 3x daily and went to bed. The next morning the hives were nearly gone! I only took the 3 that night and have not needed any more but I'm extremely impressed as are my doctors! They are going to recommend it for patients like me who have med combos contain heart risks.

This product is a Godsend for my daughter and my family. My daughter is 6 and has battled severe allergies since we moves to GA. No prescription or OTC allergy med worked for her and we tried everything : Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, hylands allergy, honey, nose sprays galore you name it. My cabinets looked like a pharmacy. We bought anything out of desperation for her and us. For years we were up with her night after night battling this horrible cough! I still cringe when I hear coughing. She has been diagnosed with asthmatic cough but when the Flovent stopped working the doctors suspected more allergy than asthma. I found this by chance and by prayer one night, ordered it and had her start it immediately. To my dismay it did not work fast but something told me to stick with it and thank God I did. It took about 3-4 weeks of her taking 1 a day and I am happy to report it has been one month with no night coughing, day coughing, exercise coughing, play coughing, NO COUGHING!!! She takes one in the morning along with her Flovent and she is functioning like a normal little girl who can go outside and play with no allergy attacks, can sleep at night with no night coughing due to post nasal drip. This product works but it does take time and patience!

My daughter gets severe migraines from high levels of histamine in certain foods. They can last up to four days. We have prescription medication but discovered that this product not only prevents the migraines but also cuts them short. She feels immediate relief within twenty minutes and about 60% better within about two-four hours. No pain medicine can do this for her - not Advil, not Tylenol, not Aleve - not even the prescription medicine. I am allergic to Advil and cannot take high doses of Tylenol so I decided to give this a try the last time I developed a severe headache and I had similar results. My headache was about 50% better within 20 mins and relieved within a couple of hours. No side effects. Amazing stuff. I tried the other cheaper brand that has similar ingredients and it made me dizzy so I came back to this one. I will be stocking up as we are certain that this product is more effective in relieving histamine induced headaches than any other pain medicine we have tried so far.
